Uh, I promise that I'm not trying to beat you up here, but you should avoid tanning salons.  For one thing, you don't need a tan to be beautiful.  And most of us get more natural sunlight than we need, so the last thing we need to do is supplement it by going to a tanning bed.  I won't even delve into skin cancer, but just the premature aging and drying effects that it has on one's skin is quite bad.  

It's kinda like smoking.  We all know it's not good for us, but still many do it.  I see more and more that "smoker's pride" is starting to wane, which I think is a good thing.  While it seems that more young people are smoking, I do see a lot of adults who are making concerted efforts to stop.  I'm seeing this with tanning salons, too.  Yeah, people still use them.  But, more and more it's something that people are trying to cut back on (and certainly not admit to going to one).  

I work outside a lot in the summer.  I always wear a hat, and put sunscreen on my exposed parts.  Despite the sunscreen, I get the "ol' farmer's tan", which as we all know is silly looking.  But, I'm not about to go out and try to "even it out" by laying out under the sun or under a tanning bed.  Perhaps in a couple of months, I'll post a pic of myself so that we can all have a good laugh.

Bottom line: do yourself and your clients a favor and save your skin.
