Reviews are part of the game and can make you feel appreciated or give valuable feedback on how to improve your service. Do you other ladies follow your reviews? If so, how do you handle the luke warm write ups without getting your feelings hurt?

The subject of "Reviews" is a good one and deserves some attention.

I have a read a LOT of the reviews on the Carolinas Regional Board. I am a man and have been
a client only once so far. I am still a newbie as far as the escort game is concerned in recent months,
although I was quite a conniseur of the escort business many years back when I was younger, and
before the "review" process started.

Normally, I read many reviews, both on TER and on some other boards. Same stuff. Most of the
reviews "suck"!

I am NOT impressed with most of the reviews. After you have read 4 or 5 of them, they all begin
to sound the same, with the same, almost boring activities. Only the guy and the lady are different.
Not a great deal of effort goes into the writing of reviews by the men. About 2/3 of them are bad/poor
reviews or in some way have a negative conotation about the lady in question. The rest are nothing
more than just raw sex, pretty much along the same line as watching porn online every night. It gets
old.

I am a bit miffed that the entire review process starts and ends with just sex. I know that the
escorts (ladies) are largely viewed by most men as simply "rent a puss" girls. I find some of these
reviews particularly degrading to the women, perhaps in an attempt by some men (clients) to boost
their own macho male egos. There appears to be little (male) emotion involved in the review process. There is certainly NO dignity and respect shown to any of the ladies. There is very little in the way
of kindness or feelings expressed by the men toward the women. The "4F" club mindset is
rampant. The "4F" mindset is simply "Find 'em, Feel 'em, Fuck 'em and Forget 'em".

Yes, I know that the ladie are all prostitutes, either full time or part time, divorced, widowed, still married in some cases, or just separated. Some ladies do this work as a career and they they  
make good money at it to where it becomes a way of life for them, and often is their sole source
of income and support. Many of these encounters are often one-time visits, between the ladies and
the men who are  never to be seen again. Others suggest repeats, but even so, their "repeat" reviews are the same as their previous posts.

Do the ladies generally like this line of work? I would bet that many do not. Men, on the other hand
probably love having the ladies at their disposal for their "use" and 'abuse".  

So, what real purpose do these reviews serve other than to steer more clients to the ladies?

Aside from the raw sex, does anyone ever simply make love to the ladies these days? Do any of the men ever take any of the escorts out for something other than sex? Do any of the men ever (just)
seek the companionship and company of a lovely lady, particularly if one can't get that at home?
How do the ladies feel about the way they are treated? How do they feel about their reviews,
and do any of them ever read them, especially the "juicy details" parts which are quite graphic
at times.

The subject deserves some discussion. There is always room for improvement.

I am aware that 99.9% of the men have an expectation of nothing more than sex with the ladies
in whatever form it takes upon an encounter.

In that regard, I am the exception. I could care less about the sex. I would however, just welcome
a few hours of female company with a nice lady, if she were willing and interested. I grew up in a
time when we respected women. We didnt' just use them and then toss them aside.

Not being critical here at all. I support all of the ladies and what they do, and I fully recognize
the need for their great and wonderful services. If the ladies weren't out there, then we men would
be in deep trouble

I personally feel for the ladies in regard to negative juvenile comments about their appearance outside of truthful comments about their hygiene if applicable. It's mainly companions appearance that gets this dose of disgusting write-ups imo. There is always a humane way to say certain stuff and a lot of these douchebags have no regard for tact. They live under that umbrella of its just a fuck board and fuck world. Some may say they're manly men and not pussys, lol. They are most surely pussys. I got peeved at a reviewer who talked about a companion I have seen a couple of times. What he said wasn't really that mean but he brought up something about her that only a dummy would pay attention to. There are some very mean and terrible write-ups out there in regards to tact. That was not one but still pissed me off he thought about it and felt compelled to bring it up.

Now for the performance side of things which I think by your phrase Luke warm you were referring to, well, that could be argued as free game and kind of what reviews are for imo outside of knowing if someone is legit and close to reliable, which for me is the main purpose. Only wish the ladies could throw it back on the performance side of things. Now that would throw a wrench in "the game"!!!! Lord Mercy. I for one would read a lot more reviews if there was a rebuttal section! Oh would I. Then this would be a site worthy of many honors.

I hope ladies do not pay attention to the mean comments about their appearance and admittedly some of the "going too far" negative comments about their performance. I really hope they do not but you know many do unfortunately. Shake that shit off. Plus a lot of these comments are just so relative. Multiple reviews with nasty mean comments, well, you're seeing too many douchebags OR........might just be constructive criticism from dudes who have no tact Ask one of them if you see them again, how can I make it better for you "baby" douchebag.

If you're able and they have a history of reviewing, get their Id before you meet and see how they express themselves. Some of these dudes are forever stuck in their teenage years. Otherwise just put them in that box of: You're just a man who P4P, what would you know!!! Lmao. Then raise one hand and high five it with the other while you say.....You Go Girl and....keep it moving!

When I first got into the industry the agent owner I worked for/with told me that reviews would make or break me and that I'd need to do my best to please the client, etc etc. Of course I did as best I could for my age and I remember one day he kinda chewed me out for getting a 7 or 8 I can't remember. But what I did remember was the review and I remembered the person I had met who gave me the review. For me, it had simply been a lack of communication and I failed to offer a 'second cup' therefore my lower score and whatever. Honestly I didn't care I was receiving 9s and 10s knowing in real life a 7 was generous for me.

I became a little obsessive about my scores till one day I realized that the clients who actually spent the time with me and got to know me weren't the ones reviewing me most of the time.  

I've learned I'm not every guys ideal companion and I'm cool with that. I used to not take negative scores well. I take the advice and expressed desires to heart but I don't change my lineup because one person didn't like the play.  

Unless your downstairs smells or your kisses taste like your lunch, orrr you're a dead fish the critiquing is usually subjective. But wtf am I saying? I'm just here for the train wreck threads.

What we need on TER is a review process of the clients by the ladies in order to level
the playing field a bit!!  

There should be a process wherein a lady or provider can pull up a potential clients'
name or ID, and then look at what types of reviews he is giving to his other providers.
Perhaps a digital cross-reference by client name or ID and the providers he has seen
would work.

That might help the ladies get better reviews, and weed out the subpar reviewers.
Of course, if its' all about the money, and the ladies take on all comers, then they will
continue to get the (crappy) reviews that they deserve, good or bad.....

As the review process currently operates, it is one-sided and grossly unfair (to the ladies).
There is no review process for the ladies, and there is no rebuttal option for them. The
current review process treats the ladies like victims, or sex slaves and without a defense
mechanism in place. Such a cross-reference would also serve (for the ladies) as references
for their safety and security.

Yeah, a lot of the men (reviewers) seem to forget that the ladies are PEOPLE too,  
with real feelings, emotions and needs. Consider also that these same ladies go to a LOT
of trouble (preparation, logistics, wardrobe, etc) just for US! So, give it some consideration

On another note, aside from buying and selling sex, does anyone just take a lady out

Well, that type of comment from a potential client is exactly WHY I suggested that there
needs to be a method of reviewing the guys. Read my ealrier posts, where I addressed
this issue.

If such a database existed, it would stop a lot of that kind of activity. Bozos could be
screened out, ladies could pre-check the database and avoid the morons. The beauty of
TER is that one can only ever use ONE monicker to access the TER sites, so once identified,
the abuser could easily be locked out (by the ladies). At the same time, such an abusers'
reputation would be on the site for ALL of the other ladies to look at before they decided to
see such a person. Its' a safety and security issue, as well as a ready reference for the ladies.

The software would need to be established by the TER staff. It would then be up to the
ladies to build the database based on their experiences involving poor conduct, abuse, etc

I'm going to respectfully disagree with most of the negative points made about reviews so far in this thread.  

First, without reviews it would be so much more difficult to put faith in the bona fides of the girls. I wouldn't see any girl who didn't have at least a couple of reviews on TER, because of the chance she might be a rip-off artist, a total fraud claiming to be someone she's not, or law enforcement.  

Second, it's very important to me that the girls I do see are willing to do certain things, especially kissing. If a girl doesn't kiss, or doesn't kiss very much, or doesn't like kissing, I feel like I wasted my time and my money. Explicit reviews are the best way for me to find out about that. I know that other guys care about other things, so I am happy to include those things, either they happened or they didn't, and how good they were, in my reviews.  

I don't have the kind of money or time (I'm married) to take a girl out to lunch or otherwise spend more than the hour we have in the hotel room. I wish I did, but I don't. And even if I did, a large part of the appeal of this hobby is that I don't have to do that if I don't want to. Just as it's possible that a dinner date before the sex can enhance the experience immensely if the two people really hit it off, it can also detract from it if their dinner date doesn't go so well. Some guys and gals might be compatible in the sack but not discussing life, politics, and culture.  

As to reviews being negative: A single negative review shouldn't hurt if it's an outlier. A lot of high numbers and praise from established reviewers means more to me than a single disappointed guy, who might only be disappointed in himself. I look at reviews very carefully. I discount a review from a guy who only has that one review. I can't be sure if it's legitimate. I check to see if a guy rates everyone low or high, or has a range. If everyone is rated high, maybe he sees only high-end girls, or maybe he has low standards. If a guy rates everyone low, than the fact that he rated a particular girl with low numbers doesn't mean that much.  

I know that there are a lot of jerks and idiots out there. A single insulting review, therefore, might not be accurate, and so I'm likely to discount it. But sometimes it is accurate. I've had to write an extremely negative review, with a 2 for performance. But I've also written 25 positive reviews.

As for the girls reviewing the guys, well they have the ability to do that through references. I don't really know what the girls ask for when they check references, but it wouldn't be hard for them to say something like, "Watch out for this guy. He gave me a really negative review that I didn't deserve. I think he was mad about his own performance, and he spent 40 minutes complaining that this never happens to him, so it must be my fault." Or whatever they think about the guy.  

As for whether the reviews are imaginative, well, not everyone has all day to write reviews. Some people see them as an opportunity to convey the nuts and bolts of the experience: "We did these positions." Some guys want to convey how wonderful (or not) the experience was, and how exceptional (or not) the girl is, so that other guys will have some notion of whether they should spend their limited time and cash on this girl. For a guy who can only afford one visit a month, this might be the most important aspect of the review. Some guys want to rhapsodize about the experience, because this allows them to relive it, adding to the overall enjoyment. Some guys are just better writers.  

All these reviews are worth something to someone out there.

I actually did yesterday.  I met a provider for lunch.  It was absolutely a blast for me and i feel like it was a welcome change for her.  I would do it again in a minute and planning on asking her out again for either coffee, lunch or dinner and a show.  I too am older and I enjoy meeting new people and interesting conversation.  The object for me is have fun and interesting company.  And yes, I pay them for their time.  Would not have it any other way.

I appreciate all of the well thought out and articulate responses, especially the feedback and kindness from my peers.  

I see time as precious and when someone books a session with me, I do my best to make them happy. It is after all, their hard earned money and, hopefully, they have read my ads/reviews and know what to expect. I agree we all have our view on what is aesthetically pleasing, but in my mind and heart, kindness is always beautiful.  

It isn't easy to put oneself out there and endure what a lot of us put up with, however, I'm happy to say that for the most part, the men I hear from are gentleman.
