I was looking for something like this. Where do can you purchase these Visa gift cards? I know you can purchase at your person bank, but I was wondering if you can purchase them from some other place?
You can get them at Wal-Mart (look for the carousel with ALL the gift cards), you can get them at most any grocery store, too. Just look for any store that sells gift cards (like Amazon,etc) They should have them there.

I'm curious about these, but have never used them. Are there any difficulties using them for on line purchases? Such as when asked for "Name As It Appears On Card", or for the 3-digit code on the back? Has anybody tried that? Thanks!
No difficulties. If it asks for name, I type in mine. It DOES have the 3 digit security code on the back of the card, so no issues there. I NEVER use my debit card for purchases online anymore. My number was stolen THREE times in 4 months and the Bank says it all came from someone (plural) online. I have a great bank and they caught it everytime before any damage was done, but Im sick of having to get a new card all the time!

What I was really trying to find out ... On these boards, none of us use our real names for discretionary reasons. None of us (well, most) are looking to hurt anybody else, or scam anybody else; we just want to be discreet, and not have a real name attached.
What I was wondering, if these cards can be purchased with cash, and registered without any name (or if somebody could use a false name like "John Doe"); or if there is a verification involved. Again, not to do anything shady but just to be discreet.
Im so sorry if I gave out any info that LE didnt already know. That CERTAINLY wasnt my intention!! As most everyone knows, I really dont post much. Mainly because Im always and forever worried that I may do something stupid. Like I apparently did this time. Actually this isn't true. Greendot will cut off your card if you're silly enough to do nothing but just buy adult ads/services with it. However, if you use it for other things, such as gas, online shopping, along with purchasing adult ads/services - they'll leave you alone.
