I read a scathing review where a man was talking smack about a ladies "worn down nail polish" that bothered him.
Man, harsh! I do understand with certain rates, a gentleman expects the ladies to come with a certain amount of maintenance.

I went & got a mani & pedi, a couple weeks ago..
Not one client has commented to me or in a review.

Now, time to get them maintained, as I look at them, so I will be off soon-

I was just curious, is it really that big of a deal for men?
Thoughts? Opinions?
(Yes, going without saying, the feet are a MUST. Noone likes to look at busted up feet! lmao

We like our ladies to look well maintained. The banged up nails, or "Xbox nails" as a female friend puts it, are a turn off for me. It just screams "I don't give a shit!" and that is what most guys are NOT paying for. I'd get married again if I wanted to be with someone who didn't give a shit. Fuck that!

like Drew said I think it show a total lack of regard for personal grooming and hygiene.  I don't want to look at raggedy nails or see dirt of other things under them.  I don't show up like that and don't expect a lady to either.  I don't really care if they are polished as long as the trimmed, neat and clean.

I've had one request it (no lie.)

I simply can't bring myself to show up anywhere with a shaggy kitty (I'm always nicely trimmed, thank you), scruffy nails or no makeup... because I have respect for myself, as well as my client.

I'd hardly think that such grooming is the hallmark of only higher-end ladies, but perhaps I've been sheltered, LOL.

It doesn't matter to me if the lady has painted her nails, but certainly I expect that she has them neatly trimmed (so she doesn't scratch me in the heat of my love making, LoL), and of course, clean.

I always try to come to an appointment neat & clean, and even sometimes smelling good :)

While we are on the subject, too much makeup is a bad thing.  Had an encounter where I think I ended up with more makeup on me than was left on my partner.  That is a hard thing to explain when you get back home.

I really like beautiful hands and french nails, natural, or basic colors are a deal maker. Bad nails can be a deal killer for me. I will say, for me (I know there are all kinds and if I were a lady I would do what made me smile) the lime, purple, green, black, multi-colored nails look tacky and unrefined. Natural nails taken care of are fine, but do not come with nails half painted.

*Looks down at nails*  Guess I'm due for a manicure!  I have the bad habit of picking off my nail polish, much like some people bite their nails.

As a guy, I try to give the same quality I expect.  I do get manicures and pedicures, mostly because I have bad feet, but I do enjoy them.  As a late 50's guy, I try to look and feel my best, and will do what it takes to do that.  Gentlemen, don't let the stereotype of it " being for a women" scare you off, as I just enjoy the relaxation.

I must be going to the wrong place, because I cringe the entire time I'm getting a pedicure.  I do not like people touching my feet or taking their sharp tools to my toe nails, I find it to be painful.

Before I started doing this I only wore makeup and did my nails for very special occasions.  Its hard to shift out of that low maintenance tomboy mentality.  I still don't understand how some women take over an hour to get ready.

I read this four times before I realized that it was not you getting reviewed. I agree that both parties at this level should present themselves at their best, if possible. My hands tend to get very rough in the winter, so there are things that I just do not do. BUT I do not want a date canceled because she breaks a nail getting dressed. I do not think that is what you were asking though.

It makes me feel so good to think that she did part of this for little ol me.  :-)

Oh Boy, I feel like the last woman on the totem pole....I have always enjoyed the Mani-Pedi, but here recently I have not been able to branch into town and enjoy the soft bubblies on my feets and the innocent flirts from my Mr. overseas manicurist. I am way overdue, but life's call of duty comes first, and I will always answer to that before my own Non-guilty of pleasures. So gentlemen, excuse me for a few minutes while I adjust and I promise to bring them back so I can tingle, tickle, or tackle your body where my manicured nails feels the best!!!

Smiles Mona:-)

.... i'm a tomboy too lol BUT I've always liked getting my nails done, eyebrows arched etc the general nail salon visit. Love of going to nail salons came from my mother usually taking me to the nail salon with her from a super young age and I didn't like wearing the dresses she tried to force me in but I liked when we painted our nails together (why am I giving my life story lol). I will either manicure my natural nails (they get long and VERY SHARP fast) or get pink+white or american manicure full set w/ acrylic nails sometimes not only because I like the "simple yet classy/dainty" look but because I put my hands in my mouth a lot haha and might nick at the lacquer *sighs* but i'm not a nail biter per se.

Oh and still being a tomboy at heart and all (with a few girly qualities I guess lol) I can't get ready on less than 1hr notice to save my life though lol.

So I had an appointment for 2 pm-
At 10 am, I was at the nail salon- for a fill in & pedicure-
Same nice lady, Rose- well she managed to make it interesting, she warmed the gel overlay for the last layer- and promptly spilled said sticky hot tar substance on her hand.... burning her hand-- I was in the nail salon @ Walmart- which conveniently also has a McDonalds next door. I ran & got her some mustard.
Everyone was looking at me like I was crazy. Ran her to the sink, got the gunk to wash off mostly with cold water, then slathered her burns with mustard. Never tried this? Mustard takes all the heat out of a burn nearly immediately.
It's an old, old trick my 80 year old grandmother taught me years ago.
Poor Rose was beside herself, was thanking me profusely.
She grinned and told me "You SOOO nice. Thankyou so much." Astonished her customer wasn't empathetic.
I mean who wants to see someone writhing in pain from a burn? Pffft.
It made me hurt just to watch her. Like I could stand there and do NOTHING?

Anywho, she even finished the job- (which shocked me, and I protested, she swore she was fine.)
When I paid, & gathered my stuff, she walked from the counter with a HUGE bag of samples for me,
"You take, you take. You deserve."
It almost made my poor stone heart crack. (hehe)

So, this is 3 hours later (1 pm) 60 minutes until my appt.  My phone was dead as a doorknob- I had to race like a MF to get home, switch to my spare battery (at home) I called Mr. Client- & let him know my phone had been dead , relay story of Manicure-incident, feed the granny, inhale my food,  make myself into a Godess, go check into the in-call, pant-pant-breathless-wheeze.

So Mr. Client gets there- and he coyly jokes with me, "let me see your nails.. Oh VERYYY nice! I see why it took so long. And toes too? NICE!!!"

Ok, so maybe men do notice?
It was nice just to be noticed. =D

Appointment went well- he EVEN tipped me extra! Woot!
Now that's what I am talking about!

Fast forward, I go run errands, deposit cash, go to clean Betsy out at the car wash- and up pulls Mr. Fancy-Pants in a Benz out of state tags.
He tries to hit on me.
I forwarn him, I am not a good girl, you don't want to know me...
To which he replies, "Oh how bad are you?"

"Bad enough to charge over $150 an hour."
He laughs and winks. He says he can afford it & he's here working from out of town.

Next thing I know he is getting my number, and I his, and I send him a link to my page, so he knows I am legit.

Well,  a little over two hours later, he books, and 3 hours later, I am headed his way...
I stop to get a drink at the convenience store. And ANOTHER Mr Fancy pants escalade truck, "Hey sexy lady..... " Cut & paste lines from before....
 rinse repeat-
What am I on fire today>>!??
He said I look like a very well put together. Hehe. Could it be?

Finally, as I get to the outcall- of Mr Benz- he handles it as well as any trained hobbiest.
As I sat there getting ready to put his rock hard cock in my mouth, massaging his balls,
I couldn't help but admire the shiny beauty of my freshly lacquered nails and grin.
And he says, "You're nails sure look nice!" LMAO!!!!
Why yes, yes, they do =

From shower to walking out the door, 3.5 hours. On the alternant days when I'm restyling yesterday's hair without washing it, from bath to walking out the door, 2.5 hours. Now that includes watching a little TV in between rounds of my beautification process. Most ladies get ready, I have a beautification process, lol.

Now these time frames are for dates, not running to the store.

BTW it was great to finally meet you for dinner, it was just what I needed if ya know what I mean.

Had a request to do some manscaping.  Kinda hard to hide that from SO, but anything for a friend...

Anybody else get that request from a provider and did you do it?

I'm not a hairy guy, but I buzzed it down to a much shorter length, but certainly not shaved.  Gotten a couple raised eyebrows in the locker room, LOL.   Requestor likes it better now and spends less time picking short curlies out of her mouth, so that's a good thing.

Man-scaping is essential if a man wants any tea-bagging action from me.

I can't stand picking pubes out of my teeth as though it were dental floss... URGH!
But show me a shorn scrotum and those puppies are next in line after I lick a hot path down the stiff rod...
Love gently sucking on 'em. For some reason, I even changed a guys mind about that, hehe.

And as far as explaining it to SO, just say the hair was getting out of control & making them feel sweaty/yuck/ew. No SO is going to argue with that.

Most guys like to see a lady in many different types of outfits, Nice dresses, lingerie, casual and next to nothing.

And it's all about branding right? ;-)

And I don't know about the tee shirt thing, since I've met her. She looks great in those boho-chic type tops and jeans!
