Hello. I am new to this. Been married for a few years and get nothing. I looked through Backpages and it scares me - I am afraid of cops, disease, etc. My only previous experiences was many years ago while out of town.
How do I get in with one of the agencies. They all require references... It seems like every girl on here requires it too. I joined this site so I could find safe fun. Am I supposed to go with one of the Backpage ads and ask the provider to give me a reference? If so, that sucks! Any suggestions? I have no problem with a background check. It can also be a good idea to join either Preferred 411 or DateCheck; each of these sites will do the above verification - they make you prove who you are - and then they vouch for your identity to the providers. Then all you have to do is see a newbie friendly provider from that site who will then okay you after the meeting.
It can be complicated - it's kind of like a new graduate trying to get a job: they can't find a job because they don't have experience, but they can't get experience until they get a job. But stick with it and be tenacious, and you will be successful.
find yourself a provider on Eros Guide (or better yet, here on TER) that has multiple (20+) good reviews. You don't always have to provide a reference, especially if you have none. My 1st lady required employment info, plus the usual, name, age, etc. She was gorgeous and the date went off without a hitch. Be prepared to spend some cash ( in my area ) 350-400/hr. Backpage,,,NO. If you are gonna do this, do it the right way (stick with the upper end professional ladies) and you will be rewarded. If i'm gonna pay, it's gonna be for a women i can't have in the real world. ( model material ) LE? Their are men on here that have seen 100's of women, and have never been busted. Their is never gonna be 0 risk, but do it right and you will be ok. Good Luck!!

My first action in the ole hobby, well you know after the drooling and you know(hehe) was to join P411.
My first provider took that as verification and then I was off to the races.

Shifterp OUT! one last thing I will mention too. At some point all of us in the hobby had our first experience. The ladies here or at least some of them if you take your time and choose wisely will lead you warmly and lovingly. Just be up front with whoever you choose to call on and ask if they are newbie friendly. Then at some point all the research is over and done with and you just got to man-up, make the call, go do it and get that first time over and done with.
with your suggestion of a provider who has 20+ good reviews. I see the logic in your suggestion, however, perhaps he's looking for a provider who is a little more under the radar, such as myself.
I agree with your initial advice to find a provider on Eros; however, you do quickly correct yourself and suggest that he look at TER, but then suggest someone with 20+ reviews. What if he is looking for someone who is more under the radar, such as myself? I don’t advertise on Eros because I’m not looking for the mass market outreach, and prefer to spend my money on P411 and DateCheck to be able to screen the few dates that I do accept. I sincerely prefer quality over quantity, so spending nearly $1200 a year on Eros is simply not a sound business investment for my business model.
That's all well and good, as long as he could set up a date with you and feel safe. ( and also know he's getting his money's worth ) Please tell me, how would he set up a date with you and know he's not gonna get busted or ripped off? Do you have a web-site with pics or any reviews at all? I couldn't find anything here on TER.

I do see your point about his needing to feel safe and having a sense that he's going to get his money's worth. As a consumer, I'd certainly want a sense of value before making such an investment of money, time, and emotion.
My advice was not to tell you how to run your biz, but, to help this gentleman get started again in a safe and enjoyable way. Just telling him what has worked for me. In my opinion, it is sound advice. IF he wants someone under the radar and he can do it safely, then by all means, do it. Maybe you can advice him on how that's done, because i don't have a clue.
I found a lovely lady on Backpages that had TER reviews. I ended up meeting her and having a great time. She could tell I was nervous and I told her I didnt want to get in any trouble... I must have mentioned my kids a dozen times. She was great, never talked about money once. I just discreetly put the donation under her coffee cup after we were done. Then I said, "I sure love Starbucks coffee, what kind do you drink?" She then looked at her cup and it was all good. I left her a review on TER, but now I am trying to get her to give me one back. She is registered with Date-Check, so I signed up for a trial there, since she is registered. Thanks again for all of the advice. I will go check out the newbie board and look for newbie providers!
