seriously,,,, No need to be a smart ass here. I just need to get out of my house and date and do something.. I can laid 7 days a week. That is not what I am looking for at this point.. Just some good ol fashioned fun and male companioship...

and I doubt that I have a good answer. I guess the easy answer would be to start with the ole match.com sort of place...  or perhaps look up old friends (not clients but friends)..who are SINGLE, and invite them to coffee or lunch..or a drink..just to catch up. I guess if it were easy for a single woman to meet decent men for fun and friendship, then my ex-wife would have found someone by now.

I can tell you this, Ms Jessica. You are an intelligent, resourceful woman. Think about the types of things you like to do, the hobbies you have or enjoy. Whether it be hiking, or music events, or biking...whatever. Go find clubs/events for those things, and participate as a single person. Join something, anything, that you like and get involved.....  I promise you that "they will come", because you have a personality that invites people, and that attracts people I think...

Just my two cents...probably not very helpful, and you have to consider that I am not much of a source for the right and wrong way to run one's life..

Expanding on doing things you like to do, there are tons of meetup groups out there. Get together with people in your area that share the same interests. It might take a few tries to find groups with people you click with.

Any place people gather.  Grocery stores, sporting events,  etc.  You just got to getout in the public and be aware of the people around you.  I didnt mention bars and clubs as that is too intense in my book and is usually based on sex.  But Jessica, you went and posted that and now you will have a list of hobbiest that will claim they are a perfect choice.

Meetup is a great place to meet up with people with like interests.
You will get daily events you can attend.
Although I have yet to attend one...
My local meetup has hiking outings I want to attend but in the meantime I have a ter friend that I hike with and we usually hike every weekend. I think you would enjoy meetup

Think about what you like and where you can meet people with the same interests ... There are tons of opportunities you just have to find them.  Once you put yourself out there others with like interests will be attracted to you.   I am a bit of an introvert so Barnes and Noble and a local foreign/arts film society worked well for me after my divorce.  There are clubs and groups for any interest and they welcome new members.  Happy hunting!  I have heard good things about you and have no doubt this will work out well for you.

....on what you're into.... clubs (I would think there are lounges/clubs catering to 30's, 40's etc), if religion is a big deal or somewhat maybe a church, I would think concerts/music events too.

We go get educated or get a job or both so we can earn money so we can present ourselves as a good potential provider so we can attract a female we can share our manhood with. So dealing with reality is always a nice place to start. Where men are concerned it i a given IT IS ALWAYS ABOUT and ALWAYS will be about SEX!

If you can wrap your head around that simple truth you will go into your understanding about men knowing the simple truth. Then you can set your expectations rationally and know what is really going on with men and it is truth and it is built into their genes to keep the race populating. If we did not have such a preoccupation with sex we would not have populated the earth like we have. Women view sex up differently and sorry but left up to ya'll, or most of ya'll we would all be doing honey-do lists that have nothing to do with some serious banging. Once you can accept and understand what is ALWAYS going on in a dudes mind you will be less upset that ANYTHING we are doing is with the ultimate goal of getting in your pants.

yes....it is one of those things that is a negative to the business.   Normal time with friends!!!!   I have two friends that are also providers.   We go out for beer and pizza or on a day trip to get apples......normal things for Atlanta......   I also have a friend that's a provider in Tampa.  Everytime I get to Tampa, I take her out on a real date and we talk about family and kids and ......yes....the weather!!!!!!  it's a must.....I understand........

Get involved in something that you enjoy doing!!!  hobbies, social groups, volunteer, or maybe school.......   I agree with getting out and trying different things/groups.   I don't know about Match.com, though......unless you are serious about finding someone.
