Both are awesome.

Always love the anticipation of a first meeting. The uncertainty and the butterflies ya get are part of the rush for me. Have had a mixed result sometimes the first is better than the second or vice versa. Never had a bad second date though. Sometimes the first will always be the best for some reason or another. But if ya do connect a bit the second can be freakin awesome and better than the first. Guess when you both enjoy eachother and she is looking forward to it as much as you are then it builds up on both ends and BANG!! Not sure what to call it but its the best!!

In my experience about half are better and half are the same or a little less.  
It is rare that the 2nd time is a bad experience.

I only repeat about 30% of the time just because I like new experiences.

Plus for the first times: Someone new can be exciting.

Plus for second times, etc.: You came back because the first time was exciting, you connected emotionally and physically, and you're ready to rekindle the flame.

 
Minus for first times: "Damn!  Those pictures are OLD!!!  The location is not where I'd normally go, and we just didn't click.

For many, it's all about the thrill of the 1st time. They rarely repeat who they see.  I get that, but if I find someone that I click with the first time, I keep seeing them. I have had 10th dates that were mind blowing just because of knowing each others likes and dislikes

Second time is usually much better for me..

I enjoy the thrill of a first date. but I find that the second date  and onward is much better.

If the first one was great, the 2nd one is always better from my point of view.
