Most on this board do not remember the debut of the Beatles, but for those who do . . . last night was a special trip down the lane of nostalgia.  Those watching were 5 or 25 years old, or however old they were in 1964.  The Beatles were the top of the turbulent 60's that saw the civil rights movement, assassinations, and Vietnam forever change our world.

We went to see a Beatles act ("1964...Reunion". They've been doing it for 30 years and they're very good) at the nearby college. Almost two hours of music, had a great dinner and came home to watch the special. It was really a great night!!

You're right! It was "1964 The Tribute". They were great.

With my bad eyes at 100 feet it was like a time machine. But I was only seven in 1964

I was all the way at the back of the balcony, but it's not a big venue. By the second half I felt like I was in the Cavern watching the boys!
