I provider friend was recently arrested in south charlotte.  They responded to her post and web site. She had emailed back and forth and finally her number, nothing unusual.  They were good enough to get by her for she has been around a while and is experienced. Many of you know her. They arrested her at her incall/home.  Be extra cautious and only take refs that are solid, and not unknown for the refs provided were ficticious.

I wish I knew a lawyer sympathetic to providers in this area...this seems like intrapment.

She emailed back and forth, went ahead and gave her number, and took fake references? So she didn't screen in other words? Just trying to understand your post. I ALWAYS check out references personally, and that should NEVER be the other thing you go by. This sounds just nothing but yet another girl being careless and getting herself in trouble.

I hope the best for whoever it was. Times are hard these days and sometimes girls let their "screening" guard down. I appreciate warning as much as the next person. And I especially appreciate warnings that are more clear, easier to read, offer more details to further help out our community stay safe, etc... Alias' get on the boards all the time warning people about stings and arrests, but then they never have anything else to offer up, other than starting mass panic. I'm not saying this person isn't legit, or the warning isn't. I just would take it more seriously if it was easier to understand, that's all.

If she didn't check her refs and they were fake refs , then it's her OWN fault for getting busted

LE is always on the prowl.  That's what they do.  Lax screening is like Russian roulette.  You might win today but eventually you'll get shot in the head.

Reviews have nothing to do with it, a website has nothing to do with it. It all depends on what was said leading up to the meeting and what was said when the undercover officer got there posing as a potential client, and what LE thinks they can prove. They are counting on the lady thinking she has no other choice and her being embarassed. And no you don't want a jury trial, you want to settled before in gets to court. The arrest or citation is only the first step. If there is nothing in the press about it, she probably got a citation with an appearance date.

If it's a first offense with no priors the right lawyer can get it dismissed or reduced. It's all in who knows who and who owes someone a favor. Once it's dismissed IF there are no priors the lady has a chance to have her lawyer get it exspunged. This is key, as even if a lady gets a citation with the word "prostitution" on it, even if she get the charged dismissed it will still show that she was charged with the act and got it dismissed, thus the need for the exspungment. Sometimes there are conditions. You fight it outside of court, not in court and representation is key.

Including it being "futile" for the lady in question to get a lawyer or have one on retainer .There's a discliamer on TER and we all have one on our websites...does it make us immune-NO. it doesn't mean crap if you say or do the wrong thing.

YES LE can decide to give a citation if they get in, that does NOT mean they have a case. And here's another news flash, if they want you bad enough, they will get close enough to give you a citation. The key is NOT to give them a reason the want you bad enough.

And I NEVER said screening wasn't important.

So IF you ever get in trouble, I'm betting you will be making that call to the lawyer you have on retainer. And I highly doubt you'll care who thinks you were careless and had it coming as some on this thread think.

NO ONE is ever untouchable.

Makes you wonder if both provider and providee should not have a lawyer on retainer!!!

That LE often checks out ok with references. The penalty for some is not the bad part, it is getting arrested at all and having that on your record whether you are found guilty or not. Stay safe. Sad news no matter how it happened.

I am so sorry to hear this. I come back from vacay and the whole world has turned upside down. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.
