I didnt even know this was possible but someone has piggybacked off of my phone. I recieved an email to spend some quailty tiime with a couple for tonight or tomorrow... the email came in on saturday I dont check my email or answer that phone on the weekends. So doing my weekend follow up I called them, and was informed that nasty txt messages were being sent from my phone! We talked for a bit and hopefully it is this one incident because the wife said they were personal txts they both just left spouses for each other blah blah anyway.. how did i get email they said they never sent and they get txts from my phone??? It has also used my minutes!!!! thirty minutes are gone off of my phone. How is this possible they said it had to be someone extremly computer savvy but could be done. I dont know what to do now other than get a new phone! Any advice or suggestions?

There is an Iphone App that does this. It can send texts and the texts are read as coming from your number. I had a friend do a light hearted trick with his iPhone at a party I was at last year, and he had my number texting a female friend who was at the same party and calling her a "jerk". After a few minutes he revealed he sent it from his phone as I was sweating bullets trying to convince the friend I never sent such a message. But when she read it, it was coded as coming from my phone and had my number and time sent and everything. So yeah, such an app exists. If someone with an iPhone had your number they could presumably do this. I can't remember the name of the app, but I hope this helps. Maybe you can switch numbers or find out who in your circle has an iPhone and question them?
