CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A woman convicted of running a high-priced prostitution ring in Charlotte was sentenced Tuesday to two years in federal prison.
Sallie Wamsley-Saxon pleaded guilty earlier this year to charges including conspiring to entice women to cross state lines to engage in prostitution. Wamsley-Saxon faced up to four years in prison.
Her husband, Donald Saxon, also pleaded guilty to the same charges. He was also expected to be sentenced Tuesday and could face up to two years in prison.
A third man, Glen Fox, will be sentenced along with the Saxons Tuesday morning.
Attorney Melissa Owen says detailed records from Wamsley-Saxon's Internet-based escort service show the company made about $3 million by charging clients up to $700 an hour.
