And there the Waterfront Park down in the same area. The Historical District (The Battery) is rich in culture and history.
Make sure to see some of the GRAND homes there.
There are many fine restaurants in Charleston, make sure you sample some of the "low country" cusine wherever you dine. Magnolia's is known for it. Charleston's Crab House is more casual and has roof top dining with nice views, and of course great seafood!
The Civil War started at Fort Sumter and you'll find tours there that include views of Charleston's habor.
Walk thru some of the historical hotels like the Mills House, they are just beautiful!
These suggestions are just the tip of the iceberg for things to do in Charleston.
I'm not necessarily looking for provider recommendations, but just some suggestions from locals on what to do or what's 'must see' for a young guy (under 30) here (Charleston) over the weekend on business.
So, even if it's a can't miss restaurant, or if you have strip club recommendations (if no provider recommendations, at least I'll check out a club), or just a place to go out... let me know!
If you like history there is plenty to see like Fort Sumter Plenty of great eats and bars downtown And this weekend at Folly Beach there is a World Class "Female" surfing competition Wish I was in Charleston
