So, I am a new, interested hobbiest, but have no experience with this.  I notice that the best looking ladies require references from other providers, but alas, I have none.  Now, I really do not want to pick up a lower-quality lady at some sketchy location who is not a regular on TER, nor do I want to have an affair with the women I meet traveling or around town, and end up with a Tiger Woods sized problem and alimony. So what is a nice MWM who is attractive, in shape, and damn good looking to do? Help and advice please!!!

Some..like I...will do employment verfication. But I know for me...it has to be a GOOD job reference and everything has to align. Good luck!

I will from time to time use an employment reference.. but, like Aubrey.. it must be a good one.. Just remember if you see a lady who does not ask any questions at all you may be setting yourself up for more then you bargined for....

Thanks for the replies so far.  I understand the reasons for checking a gentleman out.  But what about those that are self-employed or a student, or independently wealthy?  For example, I moved here from California to do a Ph.D. at one of the local universities, and I work as a consultant out of a home office to pay the bills.  How would you screen someone like me?

In private emails. As every provider has different ways to screen. And you are looking a bit hsady now looking for how we screen. find a lady you want and contact her,.I REALLY hope none of the ladies answer this..giving LE and "in" on how to get "in".

A good way would be to befriend a hobbyist and at some point you will be able to prove yourself and get direct referals from him.  It is quite common for hobbyist to communicate UDR and refer ladies to one another.  Im am sure similiar activites happen between the ladies.

try to find a provider who uses date-check or roomservice2000 or preferred411- they will do some minor screeing and charge a relatively modest fee- then once you have that and start seeing some providers should have no trouble with references- also some agencies will take you if you provide a little info- so that's another route

While being a full-time student may seem "shady" I do think it is an honest question.  We live in an age of tele-commuting and lots of people who are trying to make a go of it on their own and not be some slave to the corporate community.  Been there, done that, have the 401k that lost half its value to prove it!  

So does this mean that only those who have a calling center or switchboard can enjoy this hobby.  I think that would limit your client base significantly.  I do appreciate the couple of responses for the services like date-check, however over on the newbie board there were a ton of posts warning people not to give out credit cards and pay for those things...what gives.
