Website content is constantly stolen and passed of as their "own work"

Here is an example, One provider speaks "her" piece about who she is in her ad and website:

http://www.jessgfe.com/about-me

http://www.theeroticreview.com/discussion_boards/viewmsg.asp?MessageID=12411&boardID=69&page=1#12411

However many others say the same things on their website:

http://www.msfaithmoore.com/about.html

http://www.tiffanytalbot.com/

There are plenty other areas this same exact dialogue is present. I just recollected a few that came to mind. It's been mentioned time and time again about people stealing photos, but let's get on the topic of stealing content. Why must one take original work from another and utilize it as their own? Do providers actually lack creativity? Or is hobbywood just a truly cynical world?

Personally, I enjoy simple and to the point ads that are actual work of the provider or representative of the provider. It may not me lengthy, catchy or sexy, but it's real!

Faith Moore was the first to use one of those phrases. Who knows where she got it from. The other two are definite copy cats.

How hard is it to be original and creative? Seriously, even with an 8th grade education some writing skills should exist.

I worked really, really hard on my website text.  Trying to say things completely yet concisely is not easy; after I wrote it I went back and revised it dozens of times, trying to get it just right.  A year or so ago a new girl came along and ripped it off word for word; I think she thought I wouldn't know because she is not in this area.  I did find out, however, and I sent her a rather scathing email, and she responded appropriately and changed the text pretty quickly.

There is a local girl who did the same thing to another local girl, and now, many months after being "outed" for it, she hasn't bothered to respond.  I have zero respect for her.  At the time of her "outing" a hobbyist posted that no one cares what the websites say and if the text is original or not.  I disagree because we all know that marketing is important, but then, I'm not a hobbyist, so my opinion really doesn't matter....

I believe I remember those instances. I'm sure the lack of creativity results in individuals surfing the boards and ads to see what they like. Copy paste and repeat. It's very easy to detect when people do these things. Google has made it extremely easy to find photos, plain text and copyright information. I must say that I usually do not read all of the writings on website, but my point is, if you are going to represent yourself, do it with pride and originality!!!

A lot of men don't really read over websites. They stare at the pictures and then click "contact". And that's fine. But from the amount of correspondence I receive where guys mention how much they like my site, enjoyed reading my bio, and getting a feel for who I am, it proves to me that it was worth it to put that much time and thought into it.

I like to think that those of us ladies who take ourselves seriously in this business try and present ourselves at a high standard, and putting extra time into our websites reflects that. So when another girl comes along and steals your whole site, word for word, page after page, its extremely infuriating.

There will always be certain words, certain phrases etc that we all use in our websites/marketing, but to flat out steal someone else's hard work is BS. It reflects on that persons character. And especially for them to be confronted over and over, and still not change it all? SHADY. Is that really someone you want to give your trust to? Not in my world!

If you're too lazy or lacking the mental prowess to come up with your own material, at least steal from someone who lives across the country. Not an hour away. Or lives in the same city. ;-)

Though I have some distinct quotes that I'd be pissed if anyone stole... I'm quite sure I'd get blamed for stealing it.

My main quote has a © May, 2013 next to it on my site now. Thanks for the info!

Copy and paste the quotes into google. You'll find a bunch of sites with them on there, lol.

Enjoy reading a ladies website it gives ya a glimpse into what her personality is like. Helps me make a better decision if we she's personable and intelligent. I've never made a bad decision when taking the content and tone of a ladies website into consideration. You would be a perfect example of my theory btw. If a gal isn't smart enough to come up with her own material, especially if she's stealing it from someone fairly local to her well let's just say she's a dumbass. Heck I've even heard of one gal cashing in on another's name. WTF!!?
Same as fake pics if I catch ya in one lie I damn sure ain't gonna give ya a chance to BS me again!!
Yeah guys are visual but the kind of fellas ya want to spend time with (me, LOL) do pay attention to the text. Same for the persona portrayed here, if a gal comes off as needy or over the top promoting herself constantly that's a big red flag for me. Best case it's GVS worst case it's possibly schizophrenia.

Don't worry Gabby someone might have stole you're text but there is no way you could be confused with her on the hotness scale!!!

I'm one of the guys who spends as much time reading what is in the websites as I do looking at the pictures. Even if the text portion is only a couple of short paragraphs, a well written website tells me a lot about the lady I am thinking about asking to meet me. A well thought out piece speaks to the connection that might develop between us, should we meet. I love to write myself and I know how difficult it is to get your thoughts down on paper so they express the things you want to say in a concise way. So I DO appreciate all the time and thought that you put into your website. The corollary is that plagiarized material tells me a lot about the woman, too. - It's not at all surprising to me who the 1st example of plagiarism in Haywood's lead-in post about this topic is from.

I couldn't care less what is written there. I'm not engaging her for her ability to write prose and poetry, and I don't read much of those entries any more than the intros at match dot com (yeah, I know you love to sip champagne with brunch and take long walks on the beach... now how big are your tits?)

You can choose to get all up in arms because somebody copied somebody else's intro, or you can do your research to find out what she looks like, what services she provides, what is her rate and availability... and then fuck her. Or not. Whether or not she claims to be "educated" - promises to be my "oasis" - or uses unoriginal phrasing in her introduction - do not enter into the equation for me.

Good luck with your search for Emily DICKinson.

"I really don't like to talk about myself, but here goes nothing..." (followed by 4,000 words about themselves, and one sentence about what they're looking for.)

"I enjoy going out as much as I do staying in."

"I like a girl who can dress up, but just as easily wear sweats and cuddle in front of a movie."

"I like to work hard and play harder."

And the famous two emails I never answer...

"Just wanted to drop you a line and say hello."

"Hi"

LOL.

But I find it sad most times.  Especially so when it is not even paraphrased.  It shows, not only a lack of imagination, but a lack of character.  Still, it is widespread in todays internet world, not just here.

FIW, I do like reading what a lady has to say, if she is truly trying to open her personality.  Unfortunately, many... make that most, websites are just a string of clichés!  For those who think, and write with feeling, it may have been your photo that drew me, but it takes more than that to make me pull the trigger.

I guess my reviews are fake and stolen as well. Next my pictures will be fake, right? Get real, get a life, and find something else to do with your time.

FYI - I trust nothing written by an alias. Plenty of providers create fake hobbyist alias to attempt to eliminate competition. "Personally, I enjoy simple and to the point ads that are actual work of the provider or representative of the provider. It may not me lengthy, catchy or sexy, but it's real!" This is a sentence meant to discourage people from booking with a provider - why would a hobbyist care if someone books with a provider - hmm, a provider would care. Get the drift

So, not only are we supposed to be beautiful, amazing in bed, submissive, inexpensive, do what you say, and on top of all that be creative on website bio's? Panthera12, you have been flaming me for awhile, are you ever going to stop?  I paid someone to build my website because I'm not very creative,
SO sorry. I also pay a photographer to use the same poses everyone else uses, why am I not being flamed for that? The bio on my website actually reflects me, if that is an issue for you, sorry. You providers attempting to limit my business for whatever reason, it's not working. Find someone else to use discussion boards as a means to push business, it's pathetic. I don't do it, and my volume is fine, you should try it.

TER Admins - this thread is borderline flaming. Is that allowed now?

A local girl who stole my entire site, and stole her whole intro from another girls website, used that as her excuse, and said that her "web girl" had main access to her site, not her. After being confronted on the board, she magically had full full access to her site a couple days later. And now, several months later, even after I confronted her privately, she still has not changed all of it. To each their own, but I know I wouldn't want to be known as a thief, especially in our little community where there is little integrity left as it is.
