Somebody close to me is expecting a baby girl. I suggested a name and ‘mom to be’ said, “that sounds like a(n) [escort]’s name!”

It made me wonder how the ladies choose their working names. I’ve always been a bit turned off by the tired old adult entertainment names such as “Sexy Sally” and “Kathy Kupps.” Then there are the “cabbage patch kids” names such as “Alexis, Tiffany” and so on. Of course, some ladies work under their real names.

What are your thoughts on this?

Ladies, how did you choose your name? Agencies, do you choose names for the ladies? Agencies, do you recycle names? (When “Amber” leaves, do you replace her with a new “Amber”)?

Gents, do you have favorite names? Do you even notice the names? ;)

Thirsty, first, welcome back.
I've wondered the same thing. Just how do the providers choose a business handle!! There are some names that are a complete turn-off.
If you saw a name like "Eczema Elaine".... wouldn't that be a turnoff? How about "Bertha Boil" or "Roberta Rash".... such alliterative names usually stick in one's mind and make one run for the hills!
Needless to say, I don't think that any cognitive provider is going to pick a name that will conjure up diseases or personality disorders, but your point makes for interesting discussion.
I wonder how a provider chooses her name! But then, I digressed.
LOL.

Girl next door suggested that I use an easy name, one to remember and one that the guys would now I was female.

Thats how I became N.C.Tammy.

The name actually took a minute to sink in.

I'm reminded of an episode of "Hill Street Blues." They were booking a woman on soliciting charges. Her last name was something like "Gue". She said, "it's pronounced "Goo". "What is your first name?"

"Lotta."

Very creative.

I've noticed a few local ladies (Boston) who have recently gone online. All they've done is to take a name and stick "Luv" on the end of it. Common, you can do better than that!

I'm waiting for "MoneyLuv" to post an ad. I'd give her points just for honesty! ;)

P.S. Nina, don't forget to include your link on these posts.

With a good marketing strategy, she can use this to her advantage.

Some guys are so into breasts, all she has to do is to paint nipples on them!

I know...yuck! Sorry about that!

Interesting...Tammy

So, you didn't use the name Tammy until you joined TER? Were you working under your own name previously or did you join TER before you started in the hobby?
