I love Chicken Bog. I ask my friends if they have ever tried it and many say they have never heard of it.
I'm getting ready to make some today and I decided to do some research. I have a family recipe but I wondered where did this wonderful dish originate?
South Carolina...the Lowcountry!!
Which is as it should be.
Who else on here loves it?
Do you make your own?
Is it a tradition?
I'm including a link to a recipe for Chicken Bog!
This will be my second time making it...but it will never be as good as Grandma's!

I don't use sausage.  I do add sliced mushrooms and chopped celery.

Ran into this dish just inside NC down by Lumberton (Fairbluff) a number of years ago:))
Guess ducks and chickens are 6 or 1/2 dozen of the other in terms of Bogs:)) Ducks might be a lil more tangy. Get a big old black kettle, a bunch of folks,  and go at it with either:))
