Last Thurs the check out guy at Harris Teeter tried to give me a senior discount assuming I was 60 or over. I didn't sweat it.
Life is far enjoyable when you let go of what others think and do your own fun thing. Forget about all the craziness regarding age. Stuff like that can steal your joy One thing I've learned in the hobby is personality and attitude carry the show. I'm just a skinny, middle age, white broad, but my attitude is the bomb. My attitude is why my dance card is full. Not my looks. Hey...at least he didn't think you were over 60
I'm a liitte taken aback. Had a client say a looked way older than late 40s. I'm 45, and the number one thing I hear is how much younger I look than my age. Really bizarre when you hear something so contradictory to the majority of sentiment. Maybe I pissed him off? I was running late, but it was a same day appointment, which is really difficult for me to accommodate with my schedule but I met as soon as possible. That's really irritating. Another reason I don't like same day appointments it doesn't give me enough time to properly screen out the bad apples. Lesson learned.
Ive seen tour photos and you definitely look younger than 45 (although your being 45 is why i took notice of you and hope to meet you sometime ). Maybe he was trying to get a deal or something? I don’t know, but hopefully future clients prove to be more pleasant for you. Dont let one bad apple bring you down.

let me say this, first of all you don't look 45 at all and I understand your frustration because for a woman it is always flattering to know we look younger. So I would have not liked that comment either. I have had once a review where a client said i looked older and that was unusual for me too since I usually get compliments for the way I look. Of course you can tell I am not 20 but at the end of the day if we have had a good time what is the big deal with the age? After all there might be days that we are more tired of maybe less hydrated and our skin doesn't look fresh, that could be a factor in our appearance.
Honestly, I'm not really hung up on the age thing at all really. It was just such an odd comment because I've never had anyone say that in my life and there's plenty of more accurate faults to insult me with lol.
Speaking of skin hydration though, I have a sin to confess...
So there's this skin hydration serum on the market that's almost $200 a bottle. It's a really luxurious cream, but I'll be damned if I'm spending that much on hand lotion lol. So whenever I go to the beauty supply store, I glop a big dollop of the sample and rub it all over my hands and arms, hee hee. I'm a pretty honest person, so I've never been one to condone 'sample abuse', but I buy enough product at that store to finance a small country, so I don't really feel that guilty lol.
Definitely makes the shopping experience (and dent in my wallet) easier to digest with silky smooth skin that smells of roses....mmmmm. :-p
Sounds to me that he was just looking for a way to insult you. A normal polite person wouldn't say what he said even if it were obviously true, which in your case, it is not.
