Another Note About Excessive Calling

I hope this info will be useful to gentlemen who may read it as far as good etiquette to practice when contacting or seeing a girl.  Thank you for letting me take this time to vent!  :-)

Issue #1:  Please do NOT call excessively.  On my voice mail, it says that I take calls between 12pm and 10pm and if it is during these hours I may be away from my phone or with a client.  Therefor, PLEASE use common courtesy to NOT continuously call my phone OVER and OVER again.  This is NOT Wal-Mart.  I am NOT open 24 hours a day and some guys seem to have to misconception that we are sitting by our phones 24/7 and do not have family lives and social obligations outside this business or that when they call we may be with another client.  For example, I went to Orlando last weekend to see a client and kept my phone on vibrate just in case there was an emergency with a family member or something, so I did not want to shut it totally off.  Well, just during the hour I was on the airplane, a particular gentleman called my phone about 30 times.  Does this guy think that if I was not out of town that I would actually see him after exhibiting this behavior?  I would NEVER call back, much less schedule an appt. with someone who called me excessively in this manner.  This business is risky enough and someone who calls this much before you even see him may have stalker potential!  hehe

Issue #2:  Please do NOT be early for an appt.  I only see one client per day and I do not spread myself thin, but I do take a shower and get ready just before your appt. time with me so that I am fresh and looking perfect for you.  I plan my time accordingly and if you are early, this will interfere with me feeling like I am just right for our session, which will in turn put a possible damper on the mood during our appt.  I NEVER give a gentleman my complete address for this reason and I tell him to call when he gets "in the neighborhood" to ensure that he does not show up early and then I am not ready for him.  The other day I had a gentleman show up 15 minutes early and when he called and said he was on my street and I asked him to wait 15 minutes, he was upset and copped an attitude with me, which made for an unperfect session in my opinion.  I did not in any way express my disappointment with him at all b/c I would not do that but I am sure subconsciously, I may not have been 100% my happy, bubbly and friendly self with him.  Keep in mind gentlemen that for example if you had an appt. with your hairdresser at 3pm and you showed up at 2:30 and she was not quite ready for you, this is NOT her fault.  An appt. time is scheduled for a reason.  This is not a scenario where you can just drop by whenever you want to, which brings me to my next gripe...

Issue #3:  Please do NOT call me last minute and say, "hey, I am in the neighborhood and want to come by".  I require a MINIMUM of 2 hours notice for ALL appts. b/c there is a screening process and I need to shower and get ready for you.  Of course if I have seen you before or already screened you and you happen to be in the area and want to call to see if I am avail., that is fine, but do NOT get upset if I am not.

Thank you!

Did you know that it is against FAA regulations to have your cell phone on while in flight, even on VIBRATE? As a frequent traveler I resent your scofflaw attitude and endangerment of other passengers.

Reread what I said.  I said I had my phone on vibrate during my appt, I did not say during the flight.  I said the guy called me 30 times during my flight b/c when I turned my phone on when I landed I had 19 voice mails from him and between the time I was walking through the airport to my cab he called about another 10-15 times.  You were reading between the lines there buddy and jumping to conclusions and are obviously someone who has NOTHING but negative comments to make.  There are a few of those on every board!  By the way, the stewardess said not to "use" electronic devices such as cell phones during take off and landing only, but said NOTHING about turning them off so maybe times have changed since you flew?  :-)

I have had a few relentless callers. Cell phones show every number you call on your bill, if someone calls so many times in a row it is a red flag if the bill is ever scrutinized. The occasional phone call will likely be missed. The lack of discretion gives me the creeps.

The best thing is to call and leave a message, if you are under time constraints say in your message you need to have an answer in the next 20 minutes or what ever the situation. Multiple calls are the opposite of multiple orgams.
