Toy Restraints vs Real Chains, Tape, etc.!

Yesterday I got the shock of my hobby life when a lady that I had seen x2 a little while back said that she felt "uncomfortable", "nervous" about seeing me, as she had heard from others that I liked to incorporate the lil fun things---NOT the real chains, etc. into my playtime---WTF!
The toys only give the  illusion of restraint, and they are not part of the hard core bondage fetish, the ladies safety is always  paramount with me with this type play!  The lil velcro straps I use are easily removed by my dance partner, as are the fuzzy cuffs with release lever!!!  I'm still in shock at the lack of trust in me shown by this lady( Dayum! how easily it is to get blindsided when you least expect it( "Some days are diamonds,and some days are stones"  
You ladies particular as to which variety you use during playtime?
