It is not like this winter storm was a surprise.

Then again, those driving idiots vote and reproduce;-)

when all day/night yesterday the news channels, NC Dept Of Transportation, ect were telling people NOT to get out and DRIVE today?

I swear, sometimes I think the auto insurance companies should add a policy saying if the proper authorities say DON'T drive it's not safe and a person does anyway and has an accident they aren't covering it! Now I know that won't happen but REALLY???

Believe me I'm home and kinda bored myself but I won't be out there driving until late Thursday or FRIDAY, depending on the condition of the roads.

Friends, please hunker down until it's SAFE to go out and drive. And the wind out there is fierce.

xoxo,

Steph

Unfortunately, some of us had to be at work.  Weather was fine this morning, as were the roads.
I really did not want to spend the night at work (although it potentially could have been a fantasy situation if we all got liquored up).  So I drove very slowly and carefully home, making sure to cuss out the idiots on the road who felt it necessary to tailgate or pass me!

If you had to work, you had to work.  Luckily for me (1) I'm not in town right now and (2) I'm fortunate enough to be able to work from home during such events if I were..

However.. Once you get past the ones who had to work today and don't have the home option...it really boils down to the following:

You actually can help an idiot, but it's impossible to fix stupid.

My .02

as predicted. And companies who made their employees come in today or risk being fired...should have to pay for any damages and medical expenses if any employee's wrecks or worse.

Only exceptions are power crews, LE ect. Unfortunately the damn traffic today is making it harder for the necessary work crews to help clear up the mess!

And I love your last sentence, SO true!

Steph

and a little more snow tomorrow. I've talked to a few folks in the DC area and they are getting what we had here today beginning tonight and tomorrow but way more.

Ohhhh I wish I was in South fL right now!

I was really looking forward to that!
I've talked to "all my children" today and they gave me the weather reports
On the local news here...they showed interstate 40 and it was a mess.
Southern Florida sounds like a great idea. My daughter and granddaughter are in the Caribbean
Hope you have someone to snuggle with

XOX

Wish I was in ,or close to RTP , well you know where, and you know who with.

As HooktardGold would say (and I put in both emails...BAWHAHAHA).

I don't even acknowledge text message from people I don't know!

Un-friggin- believable !

One of my gal pals from my past work life told me that snow was like sex. You never know when you are going to get it. Never know how much you are going to get. never know how long it will last, and if you are lucky you get a little messy and do not get hurt.
Not long after that she lost her ass.
With him out of the way she decided that snow was not so much like sex.

Sadly, some employers don't give the employees much choice these days.  And in this economy, I can't afford to give up the job.  Took me 4 hours to get home.  25 mile drive.  1:30-5:30.  All people needed to do was be patient, but that was the last thing on their minds...

I really hope you can stay home tomorrow and be safe and warm!

xoxo,

Steph
