The M&G isn't about working and it's not about profit or loss that evening. The M&G is about planting seeds that will reward in the future and reap gains far exceeding breaking even on a room Thursday night. What a short-sighted business model. Working isn't and shouldn't be a prerequisite for attending and this was never the design of the event.

If we meet someone we want to see at another time, it's more likely to be a longer meeting because we have the added benefit of knowing you from this event. As one of the posts below mentions, the calls will start next week. That should be a guarantee. If you're visiting, next Charlotte trip you'll be armed with a contact list that you normally never would have had. Charlotte is a tough venue and this is not only advertising on the part of the ladies, it's key to breaking down that wall which makes Charlotte difficult in the first place. This is about meeting potential clients and clocking out for the night. Sure it's possible, even likely, that some business may transpire Thursday after hours and that's just reality but don't depend on it or stress out if the stars aren't all aligned in advance. Cancellations suck but that was something above and beyond that shouldn't effect attending and should never have weighed in the planning.

The guys have already had to pay to attend and it's hard enough crafting excuses to get out of the house on a school night, let alone scheduling something for after hours. Give us a break. For the traveling ladies, even if the night ends up costing you, you're investing in future client relations which will translate into benefits. This isn't about Thursday's income.

A M&G is all about networking, yes, but when ladies come from out of town to attend, they have to have business to make it worth while.

Spending several hundred dollrs on hotel rooms, clothes to look good for you, makeup, etc, all costs money that they would need to recoup via dates.

When the ladies have several dates scheduled in advance and then they all cancel, that puts a hardship on them as to whether it is a financially viable trip. And THAT is the bottom line.
There is NOTHING guarenteed about "future" dates.

Yes, the guys spend money, but $40 is nothing compared to the $400 to $500 just for hotels for several days.

My big issue is guys who book dates, sometimes extended time dates, with the ladies, get them to come, and then cancel at the last minute. Leaving these ladies little options financially except to cancel the trip or lose a large amount of money.

And while your problems are how to "lie" your way to get to the party, their's is how to make a living and pay their bills.

If you think that M&G's are not a business opportunity for these ladies, you are sadly uninformed and very ignorant to how this, a hobby for you, a business for them, works.

Thanks to badmonkey and several others who wrote what was on my mind yesterday....I just chose to stay out of it because I had already had enough drama UTR on the subject....Very well said to all you gents !!  Sad-eyes is about 95% wrong IMO....You'd think if he/she wanted to get credit for the blind loyalty to the ladies they would use their real handle versus an alias !!

The M&G is an investment in the future not to mention just a fun night with like minded people !

Its unfortunate, especially when you've already spent out lots of money in preparations, but the Meet and Greet is about NETWORKING, and everything the original poster stated. Cancellations happen all the time, even on regular tours.

All this bitching is really bringing down the board, and I'd suggest everyone keep it to themselves. Like the guys haven't spent money on hotel rooms, are paying to attend the M&G, and have very possibly had to go to a lot of trouble to be able to get out of the house and attend? Especially when coming from out of town?

Suck up your losses, and move on. Tonite is supposed to be fun, and a chance to put faces to names, meet women you've been interested in, and catch up with old friends. Networking, and future business. Making money tonite is secondary, and Charlotte isn't exactly L.A. or Vegas. I don't think any of you ladies should've come into this paying out hundreds in expenses, and expecting to make thousands back. Its about promoting yourself.

Now, for everyone else, have a wonderful day, and I'll see everyone this evening. Lets keep the board drama free, and keep the bitching to yourselves. No one wants to hear it. I want everyone to continue to look forward to tonite, and having a great time. Everyone attending the party is here entirely for the POINT of the party. Anything else is secondary.

Gabby here and it's not because I was disinvited to the M&G either!  For those that don't know, I was disinvited to the M&G weeks ago, because even though I am a well reviewed provider who started providing long before I think any of these ladies on this board ever dreamed of providing.  I started working as an escort in 1986.  I worked for many years then quit until starting back up last year.  A ridiculous argument, (no matter how long it lasted) on the provider board, ended up getting me disinvited to my first ever M&G.  I am adult and professional enough to leave it at that on this board!  My point here is the M&G was not set up for just the ladies to make money as I understood it.  It was as much for the men to meet possible future "play" partners, as they are hobbyists!  We are providers!  Plus I hate to say this but, if any of those that canceled really wanted to come to this M&G, all they had to do was suck in their guts and pull their belt a bit tighter.  No body said they had to stay in hundred dollar a night fancy hotel rooms!  Buy fancy expensive new outfits and everything.  Ladies you are providers, not the rich and famous!!  I was just going to wear a very nice form fitting sweater dress and boots to this M&G.  Dress - around $30 at most stores.  Boots - I already own 2 nice pairs and I bet most of the ladies here already have plenty of shoes and boots.  Instead you ladies get melodramatic on the Carolina board about having to cancel, cannot come, oh woe is me!!!  Please enough!!  Ladies take a better look at the real reason your canceling a fun night out and think of someone other than yourself!!  Also for those that don't believe me, ask any of my clients.  They will verify that I care more about their wants and needs most of the time, than just making the old mighty dollar!  So I am the type of lady who does think of others not just myself!

Sorry about not being able to meet all you nice gentlemen tonight and ladies.  I was really looking forward to it.  I hope everyone is still able to pull off a nice night tonight and have fun!!  Be safe!!

I would have attended but I wont be making it till this weekend. I do look forward in connecting with the beautiful ladies and gentlemen in your next M&G in the near future. In the meantime as many have posted and from other M&G expierence here in the Midwest- Minnesota business is never mixed with this pleasure of meeting the faces behind the name tags on these boards.

SadEyes had made a correct assessment. Many ladies live from month to month and shelling out that kind of money only to receive multiple cancellations is impossible. If you have a steady job and benefits, thank the good lord that you have them. If we don't have those things, we cannot afford to invest in "possible" bookings.

That is ridiculous. Would you invest a good portion of your assets in high risk stocks? That is the same as what you seem to expect the ladies to do. I am sure he/she used an alias with good reason. No one wants to receive the "drama" stigma. Using an alias has its purpose, in its own good time.
