I am going to Vancouver for a business trip and need to know the 411 on Vancouver or if there are better cities around the area for a hobbiest and what kind of transportation I need / public or car rental.

Should I stick with agencies, sw or amps? and any suggestion on which would be good
Is prostitution illegal or legal?
What is the average donation?

Any help would be a help. I will continue to read the boards for info but kinda wanted a quick lowdown...

In Canada, outcalls are always legal.

Incall with an independent is safe as well.  Incall agencies generally get a surprise check once a month or so, but little if any reprocussins come to those there (assuming everybody is of legal age etc.)

It's really up to you as to whether you go with an indy or agency - and whether you prefer incall or outcall.  Independents and agencies run the entire gambit of the specturm in expected services/donations/asthetics.  

If you are looking for an outcall, feel free to discuss in a tactful manner any special requests you may have and clarify what is being offered.

With incall or agencies (most phone ladies won't know for certain what each lady will or won't do) you may have a litte less guarantee beforhand as to what will transpire, but you should still be able to get a fairly accurate read.

As for transportation - again, that is up to you.  Downtown Vancouver is all walking distance - and there is a train which gets you to other major hubs.

If you are wanting to head back out to Richmond (home of the amps), then you will need either a cab or your own vehicle.

I skied Whistler for the first time last January, and was spending one night in Vancouver.  Here is the info I discovered before my trip.  (I am sure that there are some locals with more info, but no one seems to talk much on the board, for some reason).

There is a strip club "The Penthouse nightclub" where independents are allowed to hang out, and you can buy them a drink, talk, and negotiate a deal for them to return to your hotel.  But I read that some girls also just kept upselling the services once you got back to your hotel.

I was a little dissapointed to hear that scams exist in Vancouver.  I thought that the Legal Status of escorting, and free market competition would keep things more above-board and honest.  But it is still better than Los Angeles.

I do not claim to be an expert, but I would say it is still a good idea to stick to well reviewed independent ladies, or go visit The Fox Den.  Some reviewers mentioned that the photos on the website made some of the ladies look a little prettier than they were,  but on the whole you just couldn't go wrong at The Fox Den.

I thought it was a beautiful city, though I was only there for a day and overnight.  Easy to walk around.  City busses, and taxis.  

There is an observation deck like Seattle's Needle, a display of Native Indian (First Nations)carved Totem Poles in Stanley Park, and a Long Walking Suspension Bridge in Stanley Park also (It was closed from a tree-fall when I was there).  Granville Brewery tours.  

Gas Town - There is a historic Steam Powered Clock in the old part of town "Gas Town" founded by Gassy Jack.  Like many cities, the old part of town is not always considered safe at night.  I was told that Gas Town is where the druggies hang out,  and Street Walkers (on Hastings st. from Main to -?)
