An appointment fell through today for appropriate reasons.  A tentative appointment due to travel considerations.

Afterward there was an exchange of emails.

The gal suggested that I contact her when we were to have our next eclipse.

The Internet yielded the clues as to timing.

The next total solar eclipse to be visible in North America at all will be on August 21, 2017, from about South Carolina to Oregon. This will be visible as a partial eclipse anywhere in North America.

The next total eclipse to be visible in New England will occur on April 8, 2024.

Should I follow up in 2017 or 2024?

....... You should book for both time periods, and in order to hold that place in line, give her a 50% deposit now on a locked in rate. Ask her to apply compound interest to the deposit, so the future value of that money will be closer to total due for the appointment. If she wants a provision for the future value of her services, make sure it is not based on Libor, or you'll get screwed twice at the culmination of the appointment.

Either that, or book someone else for tomorrow. Be careful of the sun, wear protection, and it should be ok. Also, make sure you are freshly bathed. A swim in Quincy Bay should suffice.
