Sounds like a good idea for the Suggestions and Policy discussion Board. I know TER used to give a cash prize to someone who "took one for the team," (drawn from those who submitted Ripoff reviews.)

TER gives away so much VIP time now through reviews, I don't think they would add to it. I'm in favor of a cash prize. Even better, how about a TER gift certificate which the winning hobbyist could give to a "participating provider" and she could redeem it through TER directly. How's that for "stimulating" the economy.
