Hello all!  

When asking for references ladies and gents, what do you do? Let me briefly explain the best procedure to follow that works for me:  

Gent: Dear Brooke, as much as I love being with you (ok, you don't have to say that) there is this super sensual lady in town and I am hoping to book an appointment with her. This is her name (an email that she will be contacting from would be even more helpful). Would you mind vouching for me?  

Me: Sure, that sounds great, you are always a gentleman when I see you. Have fun!  

Instead of this easy situation above, I get 0 heads up from the gent mostly....

Gents: When sending references, please include as much as you possibly can about the provider you wish to use instead of "Jenny from TX" or "Bunny loves  me from NV" I don't know how to find these women to contact them

Providers:  

Dear Brooke,  
I have this gentleman who has used you as a reference. He said he saw you on x date at xxxx.
(Or some detail) is helpful.  
If not a regular client,  
His name is:  
His email is:  
His phone number is:  
If I have just a first name or just an email or just a number it doesn't help me, therefore it doesn't help you. Time efficiency please. . . we do not want to be emailing back and forth looking for information that could have been provided initially; especially because most of the requests are for short notice.  

We all need to work together here and limit frustration. It is really easy and thank you for the people who do follow the above scenario.  

Perhaps this was a rant, but I would really really, really like to help you all get it on and this would be magical if everyone were on board!

rather use work info/website, phone#, email address and even my home address before trying to figure out who I would ask to refer me and also feel funny asking someone I banged 6 months ago. I have used some providers that said they would, only to have them not get back to the new provider in a timely manner. I have also had two or three providers that said they read my reviews of providers they are familiar with and didn't shiv a shiv a git weather or not I was whitelisted.  
 If verification is to difficult I just move on. I love when you ladies flirt on PMs and take it to email as we get a chance to get to know each other.

I just had a very interesting scenario like this last night!  I had received a name of a gal for a reference from a very nice gentleman.  He told me she was all good to give me one.  He failed to mention that he hadn't ok'd it with her and she seemed a bit confused.  

Then there is also the reference that will tell you that someone is great and to see him and then will call him and bad mouth you as a provider.  So I think it's important that the providers are informed ahead of time so as not to be offended when they get that call/email

I DO have to say that Nicole has been AMAZING about doing her best to get back quickly on references and figuring out the complete off kilter requests from someone she saw a year and a half ago

Those are some pretty fair point you raise. I never gave a headsup to the provider I gave the reference of.  And that's purely because I couldn't comprehend that it takes quite some effort to remember everyone you've seen. I'll try to do that going forward.

 Although I try to provide as many details as I can about the references I'm providing. the formats you suggest look pretty good and can save a lot of effort from everyone. I'll see and try to follow them.
