If you only see American indies who are not young enough to be your daughter then you are all set.

No, I'm not talking about herpes.

 Something much more serious.

I have a bunch of personal rules that I follow--e.g. only independent providers, only US born--because I only want to meet with women who freely consent to be part of the hobby.

I don't want to take any chances that a woman is being forced into service.

Do any of you ladies out there have any advice or commentary on this issue?

Sexy Jill, I know you're the best.  We all know that your agency has nothing to do with human trafficking, but still I follow my rules and I've never seen one of your young women.

Do you have any advice for those of us who want to partake in the hobby while avoiding this problem?

 Thanks.

I'm brand spankin' new in the community, but the many facets of this arena have caught my attention for years.  I'm going to try to share my opinion and hopefully by the end, this post won't be a full-blown thesis!  From my own experience as an exotic dancer for many years, as well as the various documentaries I've watched in the past, it seems there is no sure-fire way to know for sure.  While "human trafficking" is a label that tends to be used for situations (similar to) those where a foreign woman is promised an opportunity in America and when she gets here she realizes that she is basically forced to sell herself, there are also other less obvious versions of domestic human trafficking, pimping for example.

As a dancer I knew many girls who seemed like "the All-American girl next door" on the outside, but they secretly had "boyfriends" who "kept them focused" and "managed their money" (in other words... a pimp).  These were almost all exclusively dancers who offered extras in the club, or made appointments for some after-hours side-work.  So, as far as I know, there isn't much evidence to say they wouldn't also be on major escort malls or review sites as well.  Also, these pimps did not tend to operate legitimate "escort services", instead, the burden of attracting new clientele lied with the women (that I knew of).  My point being, that even the blonde bombshell cheerleader-type escort can be operating under her own veil of domestic trafficking.  She may set up ads on high end malls and claim to be "independent" although that does not mean she doesn't have a "silent partner" taking all her money.  In pimping situations, however, there is a strange dynamic between pimps & their...... employees... so-to-speak.  Check out the documentary "Very Young Girls" which gives an interesting look at how or why these girls get hooked by these pimps and interestingly keep coming back.  So I'm not sure if that falls in a grey area under your "freely consent" rule.

One technique that may help greatly minimize (but I'm uneasy saying it will eliminate) your own encounter with a trafficked woman may be to pay attention to quality of service.  Pimps/traffickers tend to push their women for volume... as many appointments as possible in as little time as possible.  Quantity over quality.  To them, their women are their product, livestock pretty much.  They will not **likely** be the girls with professional quality photos, websites, and overall web presence.  (Every minute they spend on marketing is a minute they are not spending seeing clients and generating profits for their pimps)  But they could be.  They put a lot of pressure on these women to produce numbers, and ancient Chinese proverb say "shit rolls downhill".  These providers who operate under this emotionally damaging environment will more likely be the providers that rush through service with a client and only offer a "one-and-done" experience.  I can't say for sure, but I would also assume these will be the lower-dollar girls as well, because they will attract a higher volume of clients.

I also would like to add that there are not always physical signs of violence.  In many situations the abuse is completely mental/verbal which, if you are skilled in the arena of reading people, perhaps this may help you identify when something just isn't right with a provider.  Granted, that is nearly impossible to detect until you're already at your meeting, and it doesn't eliminate the women who may be such talented actresses that they really missed their calling in Hollywood.  Pimping also does not mean that when you call, a man answers the phone (as assumed by one man in the documentary "American Call Girl")  The girls that I knew that had pimps were completely responsible for meeting daily/weekly quotas in order to maintain good favor with their pimps.

Check out "American Call Girl" and "Very Young Girls" both of which I think are available online if you just search.

I hope this offers even a little insight.  I thank you again for doing your best to avoid contributing to the exploitation of women.  Best wishes, Jade.

Thanks, but holy cow!

I'm 55.   99% of the women on TER are young enough to be my daughter.  At least that's what they say.

Next you're going to say that I can only see women who know where Lamont Cranston's name comes from.

Here is my experience and thoughts on this subject.

Back in the day, before the internet, before TER and all the other escort sites we had ads in the Phoenix (the backpage of the times, only it was a newspaper not on line)

Unfortunately most of the girls we had working were "pimp" girls. The pimps used to have the girls work "the track" ( streetwalk). Then because of our help wanted ads in the Phoenix they figured out it was better for them to put them in a service, that way they would make more money and the pimps could stay home all day smoke weed and play Play Station (No Xbox back then lol). They knew we would keep them safe and they could go about their business and not worry about them. Personally I never understood the whole pimp concept and hated the way the girls were treated by them. I was so on the fence about having them in the service, but if they weren't with us they would be walking the streets and that is very dangerous so at least I could keep them safe.

Then came the Internet and the whole business changed. The pimps now figured out how to place their own ads on Craig's list. They could make more money because they didn't have to pay the service fee. The pimp girls left and were replaced by the "Housewives"

These were married women who's husbands left them and they were now stuck paying a mortgage, school tuition, regular every day bills etc. These were women who got married right out of highschool. They were married a long time, (some almost 20 years!) They never worked any job before and had no College education. The only jobs they could get were McDonalds and Wal-mart, neither place paid enough to cover their bills. They were desperate for money but most if not all actually liked working with us. We kept them safe, they only worked during the day and could be at home with their kids at night. They no longer had to stress about paying the bills. Quite a few also put money aside for college and were also taking classes to better themselves. One lady (who actually still works part time with me today), used the money to take care of her kids, get a college education, go on to Law school, pass the bar and actually work as a lawyer! She actually hated being a lawyer, loved being an escort and is now back working with me and is very happy.
The housewives were great, they were comfortable with the job, yes they started out of desperation but most actually came to love it. None of them were working against their will, I would never allow that. (even with the pimp girls, if I saw one of them were stuck and wanted to get out, I helped them. however most were so brainwashed they didn't want to leave even if they could).

Then came the Porn stars. The porn industry was no longer a lucrative career choice. With the internet, movies were replaced by videos and young girls who would work for cheap money. The porn stars needed to supplement their income so they all started working as escorts on the side. The ones who were internet savvy and were willing to take the time to screen, answer the phone, place ads etc. went on to become Indy's The other ones came to work in services. Again this was always their choice, if they were not happy or wanted something different  they left, always on good terms and always welcome to come back any time. (after 10 years away, now out of the porn business Savannah is back)

Now another 10 or so years later it is the young college girls who want to work. They come to the service inexperienced, looking to get their feet wet so to speak, deciding if this is really what they want to do. Unfortunately these girls never last long with us. They either decide it's not for them and quit the business all together but way more often than not, they go on to be successful Independents. I can name probably at least 20 popular Indy's working here now in Boston that at one time started out with me.

I have never knowingly hired anyone who was doing this by force or not by their own choice. If I feel that is the case, I will let them go. I do not hire any girls who can't speak english or who I feel are somehow being trafficked. I also never hire anyone under 21 ( it used to be 25 but that now seems to old for a lot of you guys!) In fact at the moment I only have one 21 year old and before I even hired her I made triple sure she was actually 21. We had long talks as I needed to know for my own piece of mind that she was mature enough to handle this line of work. She has a good head on her shoulders and so far it has worked out great! You guys love her and she loves the job! Its a win win.

Lastly I have to mention drugs and alcohol. If I so much as suspect a girl is under the influence I will not hire them, nor will I let them continue to work. Quite a few are recovering addicts are just trying to make some money to better themselves. Most of them do good and keep up with their sobriety but a few don't. This is why I am so adamant about you guys NOT bringing any alcohol at all to your appointments. That one glass of wine you ask them to share with you, almost always turns into a nightmare. It is dangerous for them and it is dangerous for everyone who has to deal with it. This is the part I hate most about this business. Trying to control a shit faced girl is a nightmare and unfortunately this seems to have become a more regular occurrence.  You guys want to bring them something, bring coffe, soda, hell bring a pizza but please, I beg of you don't bring alcohol. When this happens, if I feel it was just a slip up, a one time occurrence, They will get my lecture about all the dangers of not being in control. If I feel this has now started a bigger problem, I will let them go.  Sometimes the drug addicts are the functioning kind and they hide it well, and a lot of the time I really have no idea, but my clients are great about informing me if there is a problem. At that point I will always let them go.

In closing, every one of my girls has decided on their own this is what they want to do. If I can help keep them safe then I am doing my job. I also always need to keep my clients safe so I have gone to great lengths to insure that safety as well. If you are nervous about the way I do business, please feel free to contact me privately so I can explain my policies and  procedures to better put you at ease.

Sorry this was so long but you asked me and after being in this business as long as I have, I had a lot to say LOL

Oh and let the hating and attacking my post begin yet again, I am sure they will all have a lot of negative, nasty things to say about this post, myself, my girls and my service. I will no longer engage in their drama. Believe what you want, but I have been here way before them and I plan on still being here way after they are gone.

Jill :)

Thanks Jill.   I think (I hope) that those of us with any common sense respect your opinion and advice.

Great post Jill. And I have been around probably as long as you have. I remember the old Phoenix ads as well. That's how I got into the hobby.😃. Way back in the day.

A lot of the girls at the Danish Health club had pimps that they gave their $$ to. I could never understand that.

Great response, Jill.  That is how I have seen the hobby evolve.  I remember the columns of escort ads on the sports pages of newspapers.  We still have a long way to go.

Wow. I pretty much never post here or spend much time on the forum. I feel compelled to reply... Wow what a great post! I'm a 'socially conscious' kind of person. Gotta say, RSG is fantastic, starting right with the first phone call. Every person I've met through your service has been super nice, and they all have great things to say about you and RSG generally. And I love connecting with them during our time, and always feel good about myself afterwards.

Sorry, rambling, but just to add my two cents...

 Jill :)

I once made an appointment with a now defunct service in town, the lady was getting late, and her Booker calls and says that she will be arriving soon but I should start making some coffee if my room had a coffeemaker. BAD SIGN!  Fortunately there was coffee and a coffeemaker in the room. She finally showed, nearly 45 minutes late, and it was apparent she was under the influence of hard liquor. As time progressed her behavior became more and more off the wall - bouncing off the walls. Things got so bad and scary that I had no choice but to get rid of her, which was a challenge in itself. It was a nightmare. When I called the Booker after, she admitted that this girl did have a tendency to drink, but further added, after she assured me the girl in question would be a great fit: "Well in this business you sometimes win some, lose some" and would not  do a single thing to compensate. As a result, it took me nearly five years to regain any faith in the system and would not participate. Eventually I did inform all of this to a provider who caught my attention, and she in fact became a great steady regular. My faith had been restored.

First of all, Jade Tai for President!  Seriously though, I agree with and fully enjoyed your insightful response.

My immediate thought about Rybor's post is that "only independent providers, only US born" is a misconception about sex trafficking.  At the same time there are many internationally born women, who either work for agencies or are independent, that are not working against their will.  Or maybe that woman in the "asian massage parlor" is actually trying to make a living here in the US.  I know, most likely not the case.  But you get my point.

Rybor, your post and stance are commendable.  I'm also sensitive to this issue and are responsible about who I see the best I can.

Amen! It's ridiculous to stereotype in situations where a lady may be working against her will. American born  and " independent" ladies only? Do you really think you reduce human trafficking or women being violated by these stupid criteria. The information you are reading is not being scrutinized for truthfulness FYI .and if you meet someone that wants out, then help them. If you see ladies over a certain price point the chance of meeting a victim vs. a " working girl" greatly diminishes but this is not really the place to  discuss the ills of the industry...as long as there are men there will be providers and as long as there are providers there will be predators trying to take advantage...just the sad truth

I'm not sure that I understand your point.

Are you saying that because no criteria is perfect that we should instead ignore the problem?

Or are you saying that you didn't read the part where I used the phase "eg."   "Eg" means for "for example," which is to say that those are some but not all of the rules that I use.

Or did you not understand that I was asking for advice because I acknowledge that those rules are imperfect?

Seems like there is a whole lot of stupid going around

I'll never forget that time my college girlfriend came home after her first job out of college. She was actually just out of grad school. Great job that was perfect for what she studied for. Unfortunaty, she was in tears due to a bad work environment where few took her seriously, and she literally had to watch her ass all day.

The "hobby" is ahead of the curve in many respects. What the OP refers to in terms of exploitation and disrespect pervades a lot of society. The best thing we can all do is to be aware and to not tolerate bullshit

Many young providers have pimps, or boyfriends who tell them what to do. Human trafficking comes in many forms. Some are forced to work for their visas. If a provider doesn’t speak 🗣️ your language it’s difficult to communicate, so how would you know?
