Typical play for a sox player. Be a little bitch and push down a 70 yo. Man. I hate the red sox and hope they lose.
guess hes not a wuss.....unlike......
.....be a big bitch and get pushed down by a five and a half foot guy in a diner at five in the morning.
All gerbils eat grass. They eat something eslse, too!
so does the reality that everyone outside of new york knows the yankees bought all thier championships, if mlb every gets some cojones and institutes a salary cap of some sort and then the yankees win , i will tip my hat , in the meantime i wouldnt waste my time taking a wizz on thier trophies
There already IS a salary cap to which the Yankees are paying million$ to the league. They'll probably slice it up and give the BoSox their "fair" share. We'll let the Bosox piss away those bucks while they watch the Yanks in the Series (again). ![]()

oh yeah, that lame thing they came up with means nothing!! ol georgie porgie can still buy his championships and any "fines" or whatever they call it go to the team that spends the least, i still wont waste my time wizzin on thier trophies. by the way im originally from pa, could pretty much care less about b-ball.....go pats
I agree the yanks are the best
hogan
Just so you know DAN from trash mass...your boston red sucks have 3rd highest payroll in the league and they got nothing to show for it. Nothing since 1918....curse of bambino continues...Boston will never win a championship as long as YANKEES are in playoffs. Pedro is little bitch...
try reading , if u can, my posts and youll find ive wrote im not a sox fan.
bostons 3rd highest....this is the point im passing along , there is no sanity in mlb, or there wouldnt be a "they have the highest" or "they have 3rd highest" payroll. its similar to major olleges putting corner stoe colleges on thier football schedules to inflate thier record..no sanity
as far as "trash mass", lmfao...ive been to ny, but i will let it go anyways. not sinking to your class level
In this country, sports is regarded (along with actors) to be far more important than scientists, teachers, laborers - in a word, EVERYBODY!!
Capitalism insists that the higher market teams will have more money to spend on their teams and if they want to succedd then the must spend $$ to maintain or improve their position
The METS tried to buy a pennant and they failed miserably!
Baltimore did the same and DITTO. So have countless other teams. It takes a lot more than money to WIN and the YANKEES have shown that over the long haul they win more often!
intesting version of the country YOU live in. overpaid actors and ball players dont make my list of people to care about, maybe thats all you have ?. I have family , friends , , fellow humans that cant get by, that i try to help ,thats where my major cares are, sports are a sometimes diversion on a lazy fall afternoon
After all, you're on this board which implies you can afford all that it implies!
Right???
not to sure what your implying but i will try, im single, above post on family is correct, no reviews by me cause relativlly new here, a true newbie with no "dates" as of yet, but getting to know all the proper guidlines for when i get some money saved so i can fullfill a fantasy , wich i believe is what ter is bout??
forgive me if i misunderstood your post
As a diehard Red Sox fan, it pains me to say this, but I am really embarassed by what went down today. I don't think Pedro hit Karim 'The 3rd Giambi Brother' Garcia on purpose, despite what that Yankee-loving, self-righteous, blustery idiot Tim McCarver says. Runners on 1st and 3rd, with no outs -- not the spot Pedro would ever purposely hit a batter. He's way too smart of a pitcher for that. But, after the hardslide at second by Garcia, Pedro should have never gestured towards the Yankee dugout. Especially with his petty 'I'll hit you in the head next time' BS.
Then Manny makes the situation even worse by completely overreacting to that high fastball. His histrionics during the playoffs have been a source of embarassment. And yes, Zimmer did charge Pedro, but Pedro *did* walk towards him, when he either should've stood his ground or walked away. Don Zimmer is 72 years old, for Chrissakes. There's also a difference between defending yourself, and throwing an old man to the ground with relish.
And the bullpen skirmish...Jesus. Not only was the guy a Boston fan, but he WORKS FOR THE TEAM. I can't believe he was stupid enough to do that. Who knows, maybe we'll find out later that Jeff Nelson pissed in the guy's coffee, spit in his face, and made some fat mama jokes, but barring that, there's no reason for him to be doing that. The only positive I can glean from the game is that Pedro was on his game after the 4th inning. I just wish he had been on a bit earlier, and we could've avoided the whole stupid thing. Here's hoping Burkett makes the wrong things right (I don't have much confidence though...)

IF you watch the Zimmer deal, Pedro didn't toss him to the ground. He tried to grab him and hold him off and Zim threw a punch and fell off balance and his own weight took him over.
As for the bullpen, the early reports are 2 stories.
1) The guy was waving a sox banner all game in the 9th Nelson asked him to stop and he told Nelson off and threw a punch and the pen jumped the guy.
2) After a sox double play he turned to the crowd and pumped his fist. Nelson went after him telling him he should go to the sox pen and other nasty comments and threw the first punch.
I would think it's somewhere inbetween, but more of #2. If he had been doing it all game, I doubt that Nelson would have waited until the 9th to say something.
your also missing an incident, Garcia tried to take out Walker and should have been tossed from the game for an Illegal slide.
As for Pedro pointed to his head, there's no sound, you don't know what he was saying. It could have been "I'm going to hit you in the head since you tried to injury my second basemen" or it could have been "Use your head, if I wanted to hit you in the head, don't you think I would have, don't you think I have the same control as Roger v. Piazza" or "Use your head, I'm in the biggest game of my life, and not doing great do you think I want a runner on base and risk getting tossed"
Of course, we also don't know what the NY bench said to him... could have been Giambi saying "Hey Pedro, I'm going to take this bat and shove it up your butt" in which case wouldn't "I'm going to hit you in the head with the ball if you try it".
Anyway, I can't completely fault either team on this, both teams did things wrong and over-reacted. The only one, that could be clear is Nelson was wrong if he went after a guy who pumped his fist to the crowd.
I'll be there tonight, actually sitting next to the Yankees dugout, so should be fun to listen.
In the lastr 10 (I believe) years, Boston pitchers have hit Yankees 50 TIMES.
In the same span of time, Yankees have hit Boston players 23 times.
Let's see Boston hit NY 50 times
Yanks hit Boston 23 times!
Do we see a pattern here?
but the runners were second and third (which implies that you walk the left-handed batter to pitch to the right-handed batter) - but the rest of your points are well said. Bravo
Listen the yankees did not buy there champion ships it was the red sox who sold the BABE to the yanks so they could further the teams owners broad way show get your facts straights
also the red sox rented the entire top floor of a hotel so the yanks could not get next to the player they were trying to aquire
get lost redsox looser
another person that believes what happened in 1918 has some bearing on 2003. you believe in santa and the easter bunny too ??
george bought your championships , they were not earned , other sports sould look at what the nfl did, thas why its the greatest and most sane sport in the good ole us of a .
so im a sox looser , is that twice as bad as a sox loser ? 1 "o"
Sounds like no one watched what happened. Even McCarver took Yankee cock out of his mouth long enough to admit that Zimmer charged Pedro and tried to throw a punch. Pedro defended himself.
Yes, Zimmer is 72, he also out weights Pedro 3 times and was charging at him and throwing a punch.
Pedro didn't hit or attack Zim, he deflected him to protect himself.
The Yanks won this one, can't take that away from them, but you should open your eyes, Zim should have been tossed from the game for charging across the field and going after Pedro.
but Pedro put fire on the situation, as he normally does. Why is he allowed this abhorrent behavior?
