Ok guys. I don't know about the rest of you but it seems that most of the ladies that I see prefer a very well groomed nether region. Although I do my best to trim I find it quite difficult to get a "close" shave with any of the tools I currently have. I wouldn't even think of taking a razor to the area and I find that with the clipper that I have that even with the safety/length attachments I invariably knick one of the boys.

I've used "No Hair Crew" Intimate cream instead of trimming and shaving and it's been a lot easier for me. Does the job quite well (though it takes a few tries to figure out how much to slather on) and I always leave it the full 8 minutes. Much better results for me and no bleeding. You may think about giving it a try before investing in a new trimmer.

As a long time swimmer and cyclist I usually always keep privates and legs smooth.
No Hair Crew is a great cream oriented to males without the burn or smell of the old school "Nair" style products.
- don't overdo it, Rome wasn't built in a day. Don't use it longer than suggested by manufacturer.
- if you still have hair left after session 1, wait a few days before applying again. Keep in mind that you are applying chemicals on your skin that kill hair, so patience is a good idea. Redness is not a great look when seeing a provider.
- don't use it same day as appointment. It smells less than Nair, but there can be a lingering smell and taste even after a shower which would defete the purpose of the whole process.  
However, shaving with an regular razor an shaving cream also has good results. Same ideas apply :
Don't overdo it, don't shave same day as appointment, shaving to harsh can cause nicks and razor burns and the rubber will come right on. Settle into a twice a week routine and everything is fine.
