I'd say maybe half the time folks are on time, no real correlation between indy and agency but anyone who tends to have a full schedule will have a higher risk of cascading delays.
5 to 15 min late is pretty common, but doesn't bother me as long as I get the time I scheduled (which I always have).
Longest time was 2.5 hours, but I was sitting in a bar with a lot of nice scenery so I stuck it out and in the end it was a great time. Second time (same person, yes this is a weird business) was 1.5 hours with several "another 15 minutes" texts before I gave up. She's been on time every time since though. Other than those outliers, worst cases have been 15-30 minutes.
Scheduling your next commitment too tightly is not recommended in this business, although I have often done a drive / stop and have fun / catch a plane scenario, which can be a little risky.
I agree with other posters than if you are losing your zen karma, probably best to bail rather than have a bad time.
I'm not counting the handful of times people just no showed (no call, no contact, sit around and then bail). For those, I tend to wait maybe 15-20 minutes and then just call it a day. Always a bummer when that happens.
