Alright everyone....
I've always felt that dining recommendations are the ultimate test of character and compatibility. I am a southerner so great taste in food is a requisite of friendship.

I'm challenging Bostonians to the culinary gauntlet. I need restaurant recommendations for my visit next week.  

I've no interest in learning the origin of the nickname Beantown and being sentenced to toilet duty (especially in the event a gentleman and I take a trip to Santorini or Lesbos). I'm also not looking to dine on fine clam chowder or lobster bisque. I'm open to just about anything else. What I find myself craving most often- an amazing burger, a truly immaculate steak, a good pasta or Italian dish, and..... in true Georgia fashion... hot wings (or catfish, or fried chicken... though I know it's hard to find these items of quality outside of the south)

I'm not sure what the international food scene is like there, but ++++++ points to anyone who points me in the direction of some great biryani.  

I'll grab a Fenway Frank at the Orioles vs Red Sox, but where to find the perfect Boston Cream Pie?

Also, any decent food vendors at TD Garden? I'm going to see the Bruins on Saturday and Celtics on Sunday.

My favorite steak in the city, so far, is at Strip by Strega, downtown in the theater district, and if you like barbecue, check out Redbones in Somerville.

try just about any place in Boston's North End.  My favorite is a place called Francesca's.

The best steak I've had in town was at Ruth's Chris.

Best burger ~ Try Bogies @ Downtown Crossing. It's a pretty jazzy, little gastro pub. Do not waste your time going to Wahlburgers.  

Best pizza~ Try Santarpios or Piccos. If you like authentic, Italian pizza...you will be so happy. I am happy just telling you.  

Best Italian ~ Assaggio over on Prince St. It's a very charming, bi-level restaurant. I would describe the food as Italian comfort food and I loved it. Fyi I've been several times.  
Also a great pick for Italian outside of the city is Charcoal Guidos in Waltham. Chris has really done a fantastic job. Small place...you don't have to walk through oceans of people to get to your table. Local, FRESH ingredients 😊 and the food is slammin. I've been many times and will continue to go.  

Best Steak ~ I have eaten at a number of truly wonderful steak houses. Some are just head and shoulders above the rest. Through a friend of mine I had the pleasure of shaking hands with blank over on Beacon at Mooo. Unforgettable experience on a personal and palatable level. I could cut the filet with my fork. Need I say more?  

Seafood fucking REALLY?!?!?! over and over again my favorite spots are going frozen. The old buyer for legals...who bailed when they went frozen now owns Three Buoys in Portland and Saco ME. Nothing fancy but the food comes out of the Atlantic Ocean daily. The portions are ridiculous and the prices are not astronomical.  

For your specialty food (biryani)  head over to Cambridge. The name of the place is Suvaai.

Doesnt Nick Varano at Strip by Strega serve up some delicious Italian food too???      Right down town too   !    I hope to get there myself soon !!!

Yes. I love BBQ. I am not opposed to making a trip a bit out of the way to get it. I spy beignets and hush puppies on the menu so I may have to lock it down.  

Also, the truffle fries at Strip by Stega look amazing. (Yes I am the type to order fries at a steakhouse. Lmao) I may skip the steak and opt for the rack of lamb....... I'm intrigued by the rosemary red wine sauce. An amazing mystery dessert photo on yelp sealed the deal. Looks like profiteroles, which I've never tried. If all else fails, I may do the baked Alaska.

In the location previously occupied by Maison Robert (RIP).

Doing the sport scene, I see.
