Stolen ad copy would annoy me too.

but in practical terms, there's not a lot you can do about it.

I suppose console yourself that immitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I don't think it will affect your business or reputation.

I do know how upsetting it is to have your work stolen and I sympathize.

If you are talking about text on an ad or website it would depend on if you have copyrighted the material or not.  If you have then you can sue, or at least get a cease and desist order.  Sadly, lawyers cost money and the folks that steel other peoples work know that quite often no one will come after them.

I spend a lot of time writing my own text and it really annoys me when AAMP's steal my text word for word and when I ask nicely they don't do anything and act like they don't speak English...
Is this a big deal? Or should I not worry about it?

Thanks!! I appreciate it.
I just don't want it to seem like I was the one stealing from another provider, because it looks bad on both parties when the it's exactly the same!
Thank TER though for verification :)

I don't how you can protect your text but you should watermark your fantastic pictures as soon as possible so others can't use them.

I might PM you.

Sad but true, and we've all had it happen to us.
I won't elaborate any further but I will say that the guys have no idea what types of things come into play behind the scenes.  To those who watch out and take care of us, a big thank you.

I'm not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure that anything created is automatically copyrighted. It's still probably going to cost you money to actually do anything about this problem, but at least the law is on your side.

Great idea Kimora Lei.

It will only come back to bite you because others will think the "cat fight" that evolves from such incidents is your fault.  You can't win in these situations.  It's taken me a very long time to learn you can't change things to make them right, even when it's justified.

As I said, there is so much that goes on behind the scenes that others in this hobby aren't aware of.  Yet they will be quick to judge you acting as the whistleblower to be the root of the problem.  This forum is often one dimensional with linear thinkers who are quick to form an opinion based on what they read on a discussion board.

So consider the fact that this lady is just an escort and not a woman of substance who conducts her business with ethics.  She will eventually 'out' the type of person she is because it's obvious all she cares about is making a buck if she can steal from others.
Prospective clients will eventually see her real motive and if they choose to visit will lock their wallets in the car and be very careful about exposing their real identity.  If she steals from you, then she would most likely steal from them given the chance.

The fact that she stole your text is actually a compliment.

Good luck,

KJB
