Just curious, what's the feeling out there about the new set up of TER.  Specifically, the info/features available to Basic vs VIP members.  Has TER gotten better, worse, stayed the same in the last few months?  I know this will stir up the pot a little, but hopefully TER will allow honest feedback, good/bad or indifferent.  After all, you should never miss an opportunity to learn, right?

TER will have to see if this change encourages more VIP membership, or alienates prospective members.

You hadn't noticed? It's been that way for over 6 months. It's not the VIP feature.  It's painfully obvious what the problem is, but I'll keep my thoughts to myself.

The fact you can review versus pay means one definite thing MORE FAKE REVIEWS! These are reviews that hold no quality or worth for those of us who depend on them when making a selection for companionship. The whole idea is to have accuracy in reviews. Many will just throw one up of someone they may not even have seen just so they can get to read the juicy details. They do not realize they are only runing the very reason we are all here. As far as paying that is way too risky. These boards and everyone ap/ip's etc could become property of " the man" and who wants that? In days before all these new rules TER was the first place a man would cross reference a escort to see if she had reviews now he is likely to look else where. (Woof Woof)

So let me get this straight.

1) Your first contention is that, by not paying, people post fake reviews to attain VIP status, get the info they want for free (which would include fake reviews of course) and wank to thevicarious thrills of the juicy details.

2) Your second contention is that we shouldn't pay because if we do, "The Man" may get our info. We don't want "you know who" to have our ap/ip's because if they do they can....can what? Track you down? Are "they" going to come to your house to arrest you for looking at reviews? writing them? Maybe they going to follow you for a few weeks to see if you lead them to a provider and bust you both. Or are you worried that the Mrs. might find out?

The fact is, once it comes to subpeonaing your IP address info from your ISP your dead meat anyway. You can spoof your IP address and maybe "they" don't find you. But if they looking at you anyway, it was for a reason and you still dead meat.

Exactly what are they ruining? Why are we here? To get good information either through reviews or hobnobbing with our fellow mongers, right? Well, if people have to pay to play, you would think there would be no fake reviews (yeah right) and then we actually get exactly what we come her to find.

So the choice is don't pay or don't pay. Either way, they get the IP address of anyone who logs on, just looks without logging on, or posts a review regardless.

FYI, I've never seen anything at woof woof that is even close to the level of provider information I can obtain here.

I am sure he wrote it for free VIP.  

I even got an e-mail from a potential client claiming he wrote a review for a provider he saw years ago for his free VIP.

I tried to get my fake review down to no avail.  It's a good review, but it's not true, so I don't want it.  TER reviews used to be very reliable.  I think that era is over.  Maybe, I am wrong.  

My biggest complaint is that TER has no motive to remove the fake reviews.  They just leave them up.  I don't think that's fair to you guys, even when the review is good for the provider and consistent with what she usually gets.

It's too bad.  I hope it doesn't mean TER's decline from #1.
