I would like to buy a ticket for a provider friend of mine to go see a certain show. I thought I could just have her show up at the box office, give my name and her alias (as instructed when purchasing the ticket...please allow so and so to pick up the ticket). The problem is the touring company as well as Ticket Masters (i went to their web site as well) require that I write a letter giving permission to the person picking up the ticket to take the ticket WHICH REQUIRES that I give the correct name. I assume that if they require such a letter that they also require the person presenting the letter to verify their identity.
A hearty thank you to anyone who is still reading this post. I can't be the only person who ever wanted to buy tickets for someone as a present. Does anyone know any tricks for getting around this? If you'd like to respond privately please e-mail me at [email protected] I don't have a VIP membership at the moment.
Put it in an envelope and give it to her on your next visit...assuming that this would happen before the show.
By the way, giving her just one ticket is not a good idea...unless of course you have cooked up some scheme where you would be sitting in the seat next to her...
Unfortunately it looks like your attempt to purchase VIP membership has failed due to your card being declined. Good news is that we have several other payment options that you could try.
