keep in mind that just three months ago, the same Police Department that is now looking for previous victims to come forward claiming that they will not be "judged" locked up a touring lady when she reported that she had been robbed.

This was discussed on this board in January, and the linked article is now archived.  However, enough of it is still up to see that it described the 20 year old victim being arrested for prostitution after contacting the BPD to report that she had been robbed.  What's ironic is that the way the Herald Site works, the stories about Markoff are linked right next to the story about LE arresting the provider-victim.  

People should keep this in mind when they criticize or rail against the current Psycho's previous victims for not reporting their assaults earlier and "maybe saving a life."  Ladies have a legitimate fear of LE.

LE is not our friend.  LE is just currently sharing a common enemy.

There are no geographical bounds in the hobby, and he has a right to post on any board he chooses.
I also think his advice is good, but that is an individual choice. Others may or may not like the post, but it is not up to you to say he cannot post it.
I am not from the area either, but the victim was from my area. I too have the right to post.

What your saying has some real truth in it.  LE aren't very nice or fair to us often.  But I doubt that translates to Homicide investigations as often as it does to robbery or rape or the like.  Homicide is a very different thing and their focus is most often in getting the bad guy off the streets and clearing the murder from their books.  Again, vice, robbery, SVU not as willing to treat a provider like a human on a consistent basis.

Sure, anyone has a right to post, and you are welcome here, anytime. Given the events of the last two weeks, there has been a bit of hysteria brewing here, based on facts AND conjecture.  Certain people have gone ballistic in their vigilanteism (is that a word?) behavior.  The rants can get annoying, IMHO.  I am sure everything will settle down and we will return to our abnormality in the short term.

As far as LE is concerned, I don't see any need to call them "our enemy".

Everyone, lighten up! It's Springtime, damnit! Get outside and get some air!

do not think for very long that LE will not use that information. some LE won't but many will justify using that info. LE will rationalize  that they are using that info  to help prevent other crimes that are funded from illegal escort activities
