I just received the following email (from an individual who will remain anonymous):

Hi Lily I see your coming to the Cape next week We need more "girls"  here  I would see you on Thursday morning but I think your rates are a little high So maybe when times get better we can get together   (name deleted)

He then listed a group of 5 providers.

MY rates are high? Ha ha ha!

This is America.  If you don't like what you see, move on!

He'll be back, and at your rate.

Or, he and a number of others clients will decide to go elsewhere (there are mamy fish in the sea) and then, if the revenue from providing supports your life style, the old law of supply and demand will kick in and prices will decline.  Adam Smith got it right! Take Care

Laughing..you get what you pay for..and I make NO apologies for not being $100/hr.  thank you doll..if it's any consolation, most of the viable teams did poorly opening season!  Keep the faith.  The Pats will prevail..

You have every right to keep the rate the same for everyone. There's is plenty of company for everyone - and enough hobbiests to keep it all going!

I would add that my friend Aphrodisia is one of the FAIREST out there, rate-wise, BY FAR. Almost too fair...truly a classy lady. My message to the man in question: "Get Real!"

I never ask providers to reduce the rates they quote when setting up appointments.  I have given extra consideration to providers who exceeded my expectations.  If the performance and quality of service don't meet my standards during the first visit, I go elsewhere and don't say anything unless she is a complete rip-off.  In some instances, I provider may be great in all respects, but I am unable to meet her for seconds or thirds because of schedule conflicts and location of service.  If this happens, I let the provider know that I enjoyed her company immensely and would get together again when schedules and locations permit.
