So why, exactly, did I play devil's advocate this week?

I played devil's advocate because I am amazed you guys forget how personally dangerous this hobby COULD be for men, not just women.  Sure we could be arrested if we pick/visit the wrong woman.  Also at any given time an unknown provider or pimp could try to rob us, blackmail (videotape?) us, steal our kidney (kidding on that one OR AM I?) or just be a stalker and screw with our lives.  With that in mind we should be careful who we see.  Hrm.. that makes me sound like a shill for established agencies.  Perhaps I should give a few indies a shout out by posting reviews from now on and break my review-related silence, though I'm not exactly comfortable with providing details on my sessions (what if you think I'm a total deviant after reading one of my stranger BDSM like reviews?).  As if my word makes a difference, especially with how worked up we've become with this months Law Enforcement related bust.

While I assume most of us are not old school money (or new Internet Titan) rich and unlikely to be blackmailed like BP was I would like to point out just how easily it could be done:

* Did you present your ID in the first meeting?
* Did you leave your wallet (with ID?) in the other room with her while you are showering?
* Maybe there is a spotter following you to your car to jot down your license plate, which the RMV could divulge for a 10 spot.
* Or even generic personal details we drop during casual conversation.

If you don't believe me on the last one Googlebate (google that word) using a handful of the things you normally reveal to anyone you "just meet".

So maybe I'm paranoid but I'm not just worried about Law Enforcement.  I'm also worried about (no particular order) stalkers, ripoffs, Potential STDs (don't you dare bareback... besides I always use a condom because I'm so small it adds needed length), and probably more I simply can't think up right now.

So, I'll end this with some Shy(_N_Jewish) hints of the hobby from the last DECADE or so I've been hobbying and on boards (TER, TBD, etc.):

a) Be careful who you meet.  It cannot be said enough that established agencies and well reviewed independents are still around for a reason.  Like  this nice woman (oh her natural busom) I saw this week....

b) Be careful if you bring up your work or home life during a session. You can easily provide what seem like minor details but which can be used with Google to find YOU. Yes conversations are usually a part of the GFE deal but you can keep them in interesting public topics (Go RED SOX!).

c) If you ever fear someone is following you, LE/Hotel Security/Pimp/etc., clam up and use your cover story.  Don't have one?  Then you should prepare one from now on JUST IN CASE.  I do.  What are they doing to do?  They have no proof.  If they did they would show it to you and use it to make you give them what they really want (which probably isn't you).

I'm sure there are more points to make but I am posting after 2:50 AM Boston time so my brain is likely fried.

Play safe (in many ways) everyone!

Shy(_N_Jewish)
