Sure, it makes it a pain to get out and see each other, and I'm sure that there have been cancellations on account of snow, but sometime snow does nice things:

I remember two occasions of being snowed in with a provider and we just extended the session at a minimal cost.  In one case her flight was cancelled and she had nowhere to go, so I spoke to the hotel and they let us have the room one more night at half price.  (They probably had people no show anyways.)

The second time I was supposed to leave at the end of the day, but a large storm convinced the gal to let me stay on overnight with her which she wasn't even going to charge me, but I made up for it with a big tip, plus I treated to supper and breakfast.

These were among the best dates I've ever had.
