Do others feel that this hobby is not what it once was and that it is becoming a waste of time and money, It seems like one mediocre experience after another has me on the edge of retirement.A few places that used to be good localy have slipped so bad that you know ahead of time what to expect, like clocks set ahead calls coming to the girls 20 minutes before the time is up like shauna's in brighton or total chaos from room service and their scheduling and shortened appointments and the rip off parlors like matrix, mandala and any one that has an add in boston magazine or the phoenix.

Our perspectives are undeniably shaped by our information and experiences.  But my sense is just the opposite...  Perhaps it is due to the fact that my local hobbying experiences have largely been post-internet...

Several years ago, there were a handful of good agencies...  Shauna's (which I have never visited), Nina (Genuine Diamonds), Quality Sweets (the cream of the crop then, IMHO).  AB2 existed, but didn't seem to have its act together.  After Dark may have been around, but had no web presence.  There may have been other good incall places, but I wasn't aware of them.  The local independent scene seemed stagnant.  At one point a couple of years ago, I remember trying to make a list of reputable local independents.  I think I counted in the 20-25 range.

Again, maybe I'm deluding myself, but it feels to me like the range of local options has exploded in the last year.  While QS bit the dust and Shauna's has ostensibly gone downhill, many new agencies have sprung up to take their place...  I have had some great experiences with Body Oasis.  While your experiences with Room Service haven't been positive, mine have been at least decent and others have reported great success.  Friends in Boston gets good marks.  Dangerous Curves gets mixed to good reviews.  Exotic Pleasures sounds decent...  It sounds to me like very good news!

The number of independents also seems to be going through the roof!  Independents advertise or post on TER, the dog board, Escorts.com, Blue Pleasures, and a variety of other sites.  While I haven't totaled up the number of serious independents, I wouldn't be surprised if I could put together a list of a hundred today.  I also feel that the availability of reviews and the existence of backchannel feedback has served to improve the general level of service.

Personally, I think things have changed for the better!

Have fun, MG

You mention Quality Sweets, I was just beginning when they were on there way down, or out.  For the life of me I could not figure out how to compete with Dani, Ivy, Audrey, Heather, and Leslie.  I hope they are all doing well

Quality Sweets was great. I miss Eva, Heather and Audrey.  Anyone know how to get in touch and if they are still around?

I agree with MG. I believe my hobbying experiences have only gotten better.  I use the reviews and postings on the boards more extensively and will only see ladies that have good reviews. I have used Room Service extensively with excellent results taking into account that the ladies come and go (e.g., Carly, Erin, Megan, Sophia, and currently Skylar and Shannon).  Some become quality independents like Megan and Sophia. New agencies pop up with great service (e.g., currently, Sabrina at Adara's with Sonny on the phones). In addition, you find great independents (at first I used Mindy and Nicholette who have gone on).  Gather info, use the info, and have fun!!!!!!!

do not forget charlie, a sweet petite blonde from QS I think they were the best agency around, no upsell and outstanding girls. the problem with some of the woman m.g. mentions is almost every one is in my opinion is way overpriced and some are notorious for upsell.

I have been hobbying since 1990 and with places like TER it has only gotten better.  Two of my favorites are Roseanne of Friends in Boston and Danielle of New England.  I have posted reviews of both.

"there were a handful of good agencies... ÊShauna's (which I have never visited)"

If you never visited this agency, then how can YOU comment on whether or not it was good?

Let me amend my statement...

There were a handful of agencies that were good and others (such as Shauna's) that were alleged to be good by many posters.

Does that pass muster???

By the way, I have never driven a Lamborghini, but I feel that I could nonetheless safely assert that it is a good car.  I do rely on the opinions of others I trust, and occasionally I pass on those opinions to others.  I'm sorry if I overstepped the bounds...

Have fun, MG

MatureGent,
I didn't mean to "snap" I just have a thing for accuracy. Yes, reputation is a reflection of quality, but reputation is not objective. As for your Lamboghini analogy, the quality of a produced item is a matter of production standards - thay are quantifiable.  However, the quality of a service varies as much as all the individuals providing that service. It may be qualifiable, but once again this is a matter of subjective analysis.

So what does this all mean? Nothing. I just felt like writing something. Happy hobbying, MatureGent.

Lubedrod
