TER should not permit theor use.

I've read many ladies and men express their opinions using their TER handle. Where I come from, I can wholly respect them while not always agreeing with their posts. They stand up to their comments.

Those who use an alias, I have no interest in what they say. They have no balls. Its also where one reads the most bullshit and nastiness. Make a resolution a******s, post like an adult and be responsible for what you say

When it was unlimited, I loved to use aliases for humorous and satirical purposes, but no more.

While I agree with your sentiments, if not your language, there is one small fallacy in you argument: our handles are as anonymous as the aliases.

Thus, we have no insight in each other's identity one way or the other. Also, nothing prevents me to create a "throwaway" identity if I wish to hide...

TER admin decided for their own reasons to allow aliases. I am OK with that even though I have seen their use promote (on very rare occasions) "pack mentality".

Agree and understand your point. And although our handles are also aliases, they are the identifier we use when meeting our hosts, especially for the first time. So if you want to really rip somebod, either accurately or innacurately, the easy way is to use an alias.

It's the nasty and/or negative back and forth that I could have more accurately pinpointed in my original posts. If one targets an escort, she usually needs to respond with her handle, while the other person hides behind the alias.

Since I have had plenty of aliases attack me over the years.

But if we lived in a perfect world your theory of no alias would work, but since it is not a perfect world.

If your going to say something bad about a well know local provider, ( See the Quinn and Bostonjeff posts this year). Now you have the problem of, do you say something about it with out an alias, maybe making sure some other guy doesn't have to go throw the same shit you did, or do you say nothing.  

If you say something with out an alias, you know that you could very will end up blacklisted on the provider only board or the national one.  

In the long run I think a lot of guys are afraid to say anything bad about a provider without an alias, knowing that there are certain people who will come right and attack you as soon as they read your post.

While like I said I don't like alias, but I do see them as a necessary evil, as something that can be used to get information out there.

rehardless i have about 100 reviews a 8.9 average in looks and performance, i know how good i am at this, and personable AND intellegent and in not just in fuckin and acting and theatre, i am smart in many ways but a alias that is a down on her luck strugglin basic bicth, i can clearly see thats the only place such harsh behavior would come from, its clearly not men or previous customers of mine, in fact most my previous customers many still message or say hi and they had great time, read my 100 stellar reviews!

The difference is that his "alias" is linked to his reviews, so some anonymity is gone if the providers know him from his ter handle.  

Also some people are very cordial in their normal post, but then use aliases to attack someone when then don't want it to be known.

So your issue is with posters who post false accusations behind the anonymity of an "alias"?  

Well... You do realize that you can post stupid crap regardless if it is an alias or a primary TER handle (with or without reviews)... and I've seen both.  It is fairly easy to change any of these names, but much harder to change the character of the person behind them... and it is fairly easy to separate these posts (regardless if it is a handle or an alias) from the actual screening, and appointment process.  

In my opinion, we all are judged by the content of our posts, regardless of whether the posts are written by a handle with many reviews, a handle with no reviews, or an alias (which is just another handle).  If I read a post that uses poor grammar, and cannot articulate a coherent thought, I just move on and don't give it any credibility.  

I'm glad you've had such a great time here, but I wanted to express my opinion that your post is a little shortsighted... Not everyone who uses an "alias" is an asshole.

Those who lost or have no anonymity have to skate on thin ice and can't speak their mind without fear of being outed on a blacklist. Of course if one wants to be a white knight or stifled then it is their choice, but not mine.  

About 6 years ago one of my aliases was placed on "the" public blacklist over my comments on a thread. If the nutty hooker knew my real name, I am sure that she would have included it, hence the cloak. She melted down and was eventually delisted and is probably still waiting tables or is strapped down with 8 kids.

Please use (eom) in the subject line if you have nothing to add in the message box.

Flip The alias to expose the name if reported enough.

Just because a handful of whiners complain, it doesn't mean the alias will be flipped. For the most part, the best that can be hoped for is that the "offending" post is removed.  

From the rules:  

Flipping an alias is an action of last resort and will only be done if Admin determines that other corrective actions are insufficient due to the nature of the comments in the post.  

Notice it says the nature of the comments. They generally have to be egregious and slanderous to an extreme.  

The easiest way is to post with your handle and an alias in the same thread where egregious comments may not even be necessary.

I have never used an alias once and don't feel the need for it even when I have been on the receiving end of angry outbursts for authentic reviews I wrote, but why would I want to hide behind an alias when I have a point to make? As far as the ones who get offended with my posts, do I really want to hobby with them...? i don't think so.  

For the hobbyist friends - you can take my comments and do as you please, I am not here to take part in a popularity contest, but share info and receive info.

Also, it is easier for anyone to see a full profile of an individual by their single handle - real or otherwise.
