Hi Everyone,

I just found out that agencies (even reputable established ones) are no longer allowed to white list clients and all previous white lists they have provided have been removed by TER Admin.

I would like to hear everyone's thought on this.

I am sure you already know what I think of this new policy. :(

Jill

Oh and to all the great clients that I previously white listed I am sorry about this. If you need a reference just have the lady email or call me.

From your post I'm assuming Indys are still allowed to white list guys? If so, it's hard to understand why that would be. I know in Chicago there were some infiltration by LE in various ways, but I don't know why Indys would be less immune than agencies.... I can't imagine what the reasoning is. Did TER provide you agency people with a reasoning behind this?

TER does not seem to be very agency-friendly. Providers have their own board. Reviewers have their own board. Moderators have their own board. But the agencies do not. And now removing whitelist referrals further makes me believe that agencies aren't a priority to the powers that be. And yes there may have been some people that have given agencies a bad name. But there some reputable and respectable agencies operating all across the country.

Since they just started this yesterday, I am assuming they just havent got to you yet.

This was the reason they gave me.

Unfortunately we had to shut off the ability to whitelist for agencies due to too many people haveing access to one single account and whitelistings appearing that were not placed there by the correct people which would ultimately destroy the whitelist function...

I asked if they could go by a case by case basis and told them that for the past 11 years I am the only one who has had access to my account and handle. I have yet to get a reply back.

Many hobbyists primarily use agencies due to their reputation and additional safety of the situation (not to mention their talent). I think this is an inappropriate move on TER's part and they should reconsider this policy.  I am not suggesting we flood their mailbox, but it is incumbent upon us all of us to let them know how we, as their client, feel about this.

I don't like it, that's for sure; I sort of understand their reasoning, but then TER isn't taking into account that not all agencies are run by one person.

It's stupid if you ask me.

I don't take references from many people.  Jill from room service is someone whose reference I trust completely.  So as a provider in Boston I feel that TER is doing Boston providers a great disservice by no longer accepting white list referrals from Jill at Room Service.  Then again I have seen TER doing a lot of things I don't agree with so it doesn't surprise me.  As always Jill thanks for looking out for all the girls in Boston not only the girls at Room Service.

First I heard of this. Seeing Jill had whitelisted me it hits home and I don't like it.

Maybe TER is concerned that bartering between hobbyists and agencies will occur.  For example, "I will write a good review of your ladies, deserving or otherwise, and maybe not even have seen the person in exchange for a whitelist referral."  The whitelist process could get corrupted and lose its value.  I believe it is less likely with independents because of the volume difference.  Perhaps not, just my thoughts on the policy.

I just heard back from admin.
At this time they cant turn the whitelist function for agencies
back on, but they will try to think of a way to maybe replace
it, maybe on a case by case basis. They will let me know in the next few days.

Sounds kind of crazy to me. Given TER can remove providers from the database, why remove whitelists for one bad data point - just remove whitelists from that bad point? Given I have 132 remaining reviews (it's close to 175 actual ones, but quite a few ladies have been deleted by TER from public view since I reviewed them) and only 2 whitelists (Thanks Jill for being one of them), it doesn't seem like a lot of extra whitelists are floating around. Just my two cents from one of TER's top 100 reviewers.
