from seeing a provider.  I left the session and was driving back to the office when the symptoms hit.  I pulled over and sat there for a little bit trying to sort things out, and by the time I realized what was going on, I was losing my breath very quickly.  I called 911, who kept me on the line util the EMT's showed up.  As soon as I heard the siren, I hung up and reset my phone so that the numbers and browsing history would be erased because I did NOT want my family to discover my hobbying if I kicked off.

Obviously, things worked out because I am writing this.  I'm on some medicine and strict instructions to get the weight and cigars under control, but I evidently don't need surgery yet.

While recovering over the past few days, I have been plagued with thoughts of what might have happened if I had passed out or passed away during the session.  What would the lady have done, and, really, what would I have wanted her to do? These aren't my only thoughts, obviously, I have a family, business, and life to dwell upon, but these thoughts are the ones I wanted to bring here.

So, Ladies, have you ever considered what you would do if a hobbyist was to pass out or kick off while with you?  And Gents, what would you want them to do?  I look forward to reading everyone's thoughts.

Fortunately, I've been told to exercise more often, and since I consider the hobby to be my best form of exercise, I hope to jump back in in the relatively near future.

Definitely some thoughts to ponder...  In the interim, get well soon Dixie Chicken.  I, and surely lots of others on the board, have always respected your commentary here.

Women smoking cigars are very, very hot (whenever I'm about to get naked with a woman, I want her to look as much like Edward G. Robinson as possible) but smoking men are just smelly.

Ladies: you can purchase a semi-automatic defibrillator these days for about $1200; not a small investment, but if your client list contains more than one over weight, over 50 brandy & cigar man, it's a toy you can't afford to be without

Gentlemen: if you recognize that you are experiencing the early symptoms of a heart attack -

Uncomfortable pressure, fullness, squeezing or pain in the center of the chest lasting more than a few minutes.
Pain spreading to the shoulders, neck or arms. The pain may be mild to intense. It may feel like pressure, tightness, burning, or heavy weight. It may be located in the chest, upper abdomen, neck, jaw, or inside the arms or shoulders.
Chest discomfort with lightheadedness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath.
Anxiety, nervousness and/or cold, sweaty skin.
Paleness or pallor.
Increased or irregular heart rate.
Feeling of impending doom.

Call 911. There's an urban legend about "self CPR" which involves a deep breath followed by vigorous coughing, every few seconds. There appears to be a grain of truth to this, though only shown to have any effect whatsoever in controlled hospital studies, never in "field" emergencies.

Either way, it doesn't erase your cell phone history or explain your presence at the  no-tell motel

Don't know what I'd do but I suggest you tell the ladies you see in the future, just in case what you want them to do.

That's patently absurd. He should bring a last will and testament to a session? Or instructions about what's in his safe deposit box?

Half the guys on this board are fat, or old, or in poor health, or all of the above. All these guys should bring instructions  to a session about what to do in case they get fucked to death?

Chicken is probably in better health than most guys on this board.

yup, many years ago, my uncle died in the saddle...auntie was never the same afterwards.  No joke. It was the background topic at many family gatherings.

some observations and questions:
1. few literally can say they "came and went in the same breath"
2. should we observe a DNR (do not resuscitate) status on all clients? No pumping on the chest?
3. though I am not religious, do the circumstances of our deaths damn the disposition of our souls?  Dying in the arms of a provider will I spend eternity haunting room #356 of Hotel X?

If one passes out, more than likely the provider would likely roll you out into the lobby, lock the door and let nature take its course. I wish I were kidding....

I remember a story out of Detroit where a provider dropped off and died in a guy's apartment, so he called the agency. The agency said, "Drop her off outside, somebody will find her," but luckily the guy said he couldn't do such a thing and called 911.

Here's something I've been doing for a few years since my own doctor told me about it:

Keep a bottle of aspirin in the glove compartment and some bottled water in the cup holder.  It has to be aspirin by the way, not Tylenol or Ibuprophen.

If you suspect that you are having a heart attack, take a couple or three aspirin right away.  The aspirin dialate your blood vessels allowing more blood flow to the heart.  It may be the one thing that buys you time.

I hope I don't need them ever but you never know.

I didn't put a "just kidding" at th end of that last statement of mine, so you could tell the difference between serious and "just kidding".

and should be back to normal soon.  I was coming off of a 2 week trial, living on junk food, coffee, and cigars, so I think the session was just the proverbial last straw. It was a great session, though, with one of Jill's ladies. (I've submitted a review, but didn't mention the aftermath).

Thank God it wasn't the Lass or Nicole, or I probably would have been a goner for sure.

I tend to agree with most of the comments that 911 is the only way to go if something like this happens during a session, but it sure would be a shock to the family.  I would hope the lady would protect herself and come forward as a GF or mistress, but, of course, that would be up to her.  Oh well, I have enough life insurance to bail out Fannie Mae, so that should soften the blow if was to ever happen. LOL

Luckily you recognized the signs and made the call. Take care of yourself DC. I have actually had this conversation with clients about what I would do if this happens.  I would call 911 then do CPR buck naked until EMS arrived.  That would be the embarrassing part besides the fact then I would have to do the I'm having an affair story.  Thank god I am friendly with most guys I see and I know about them a bit.  I figure a little embarrassment is worth saving someone's life.

I am a retired cpr instructor.  I worked in icu/ccu for many years and it was my responsibity to recertify the Drs. and fellow Nurses in cpr.  My first step would have been to call 911 and then start compressions if required.

It would be uncomfortable for everyone involved but I would play the role of mistress.

As a side note.  On our anniversary a few years back my hubby and I went out to dinner at a nice place.  I was feeling very naughty and wore a mini skirt and no panties so I could tease him all through dinner.  We had just started on our salads when a lady at another table stood up and thanked all her friends for a lovely evening and started to put on her coat, suddenly she dropped to the floor completely unconcious!  I ran over checked her over, instructed the manager to call 911 and I began cpr.  There was absolutely no pulse what so ever.  I compressed harder trying to get her heart to respond.  Her Chest cracked and made an amazing snapping sound.  One of her friends began to cry and pray for SISTER MARY!
Here I am in a mini skirt doing cpr on the head mother of a catholic high school, with no panties on!  Hubby said there were several shots of my big behind, but no one even paid any attention!
Sadly Sister Mary did not recover, the er Dr. said she was probably dead as soon as she hit the floor and nothing would have saved her as she had already had a triple by-pass.

Follow your Drs. advice Dixie Chicken, and yes exercise is always a must!

I don't know if any of your remember but former VP Nelson Rockefeller had a Heart Attack while with his mistress Megan in NYC. Rather than calling 911, she called a girlfriend. They dressed the now deceased VP put his shoes on backwards. This was the first time a major newspaper, the NY Times, published a story like this. I think this took place in the mid 1970s.

Some food for thought for you ladies. Better to save a life and call 911 then try to explain why you did not offer assistance latter. I believe that in most states, a failure to help someone in distress which leads to that person's death is a serious felony; far more serious than a possible solicitation charge.

DC - You did better than most. Approximately 65% of all men who have heart attacks die from the first one. As a veteran of 5, I can tell you you'll be OK if you're a good boy. Watch the stress, don't eat 'til you're full, and have your Nitro tablets (which, by the way, do NOT get along with blue or orange pills!), and some aspirin, within reach at ALL TIMES! Show their location to your provider in case of emergency. With a little TLC, you'll be back on the Hobbying Trail in no time!

Unless you are trained in CPR then you at least have to call 911 you have no obligation to perform it.  I believe certain people like doctors, emts, nursers and police actually have to help.

I'm glad your ok too...if you were with me during a session I would first call front desk and get some medical help from the hotel. Getting help is the most important thing that comes first is helping you.
