That is awful - this country needs major reform of health care. This would not happen in any other western nation!  Healthcare is for everyone - not just the rich and the employed

It is with great sorrow to inform you all of the passing of a great provider, Lilah/Skye.

She passed away on Friday the 13th due to complications from pneumonia. Her husband called me to ask that I let all of her friends know.

Lilah/ Skye was a sweet, passionate woman with a heart of gold and I was lucky enough to have been able to work with and get to know if even for a short time.

She will be missed.

Jill

I tried calling her on the 14th.  I feel ill.

I am reminded of a passage from a eulogy for a young woman in her prime that gave solace to the people who loved her…” one can only enter heaven when the perfect price can be paid to gain admission.  Our friend here today will never experience the vagaries of life, see her earthly body change as she ages, experience the myriad of infirmaries that aging people endure, and witness the deaths of friends and family.  She will remain forever young.  At such a young age she had attained perfection in the eyes of our creator and having achieved such a state of grace was called home. “

...in her memory

May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back.May the sun shine warm upon your face.May the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, May the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand.

Wow...hits home...very nice girl...on all levels..will miss her..

Terrible news.  I'm sorry.

However, I found this post mysterious and somewhat alarming.

When a young person passes away of "complications from pneunomia," that tends to mean something..... if you know what I'm saying.

Now, that's not to suggest or imply she indeed had this problem, necessarily, but is the community here not be entitled to know, one way or the other, for its own protection?  There are people on this board who may have seen her, multiple times even, and then saw other providers, and so on...

Could you please let us know?  Thank you, and again I'm sorry about the news.

When somebody who is young passes away from "complications from pneumonia," it, um, often means something, if you know what I'm saying.

I'm not implying that Lilah was a victim, necessarily, but for the * safety of this community * is it not crucial that we know, one way or the other?

I am sorry about the news regardless, but this is very important for all of us.

Thank you.

Nitpicker,

I understand your concerns but they are unfounded.

Because of lack of health insurance, she waited till she had a fever of 105 before  finally going to the hospital. From what I was told that was the reason. Nothing more.
