OMG!

Do I have to leave the "hobby" ?

I love the hobby but this lady I met seems really cool. We are going out this week on a "Real Date".

She is not a provider so WTF do I do?

Do I quit "The Hobby"?

Your thoughts if any?

Don't leave a donation in a conspicuous place in an unsealed white envelope upon your arrival

Don't ask her to vouch you

Don't ask her if she's CIM

Don't watch the clock

It may however be nice to take her a pastry :

Narcissistic assclown.  Nobody gives a rats ass - WTF does this have to do with the hobby?  Go pay a therapist and babble at them.

Seriously, if the date goes well, and she wants to pursue you (or you-her), I would abstain until you can figure out if it might go some where with a civilian.

A number of years ago I stopped hobbying altogether when I met someone I could be monogamous with.  It was made clear in the early stages that it was an important factor in establishing the relationship.
Eventually (after 5 years) we decided to go our own ways again, and now I'm back enjoying the variety of lovely ladies.

You seem like a decent guy Esc. If there's a chance you met a girl who's right for you, why risk ruining it with lies and deceit?

Also, have yourself tested immediately for STD's. (if you don't already) Not saying that to be a dick, just saying so you can confidently enter into a monogamous relationship knowing you have not brought anything unwanted to the table. I did then, and still do now frequently.

There may be some, maybe many, who agree with you, but you don't speak for the whole board. Some people, maybe many, and maybe even a majority like his posts. (For me, sometimes yes, sometimes no!) If his posting is a problem, I'm sure the moderator/moderators will take appropriate action. You can always just ignore them without publicly expressing your displeasure... unless you like strife and controversy.

A HELL of a lot different. They could mute you, monitor you or flat out ban you. You would be put in the penalty box sometimes for a reason...sometimes arbitrary....Usually took a decent amount of Suck-Assing to get back on. and if you're a provider...that's lost revenue. As a Hobbyist.. not as bad, but an inconvenience.

I agree. read what you want, ignore what you don't. Use the board for what YOU want to get out of it. nothing more/ nothing less. The ultimate goal is that everybody has some good, safe fun...

all practical. Great to meet you at the M&G..You're a fun guy w/ a great perspective. Tori thought you were great also & thanks for NOT groping my GF.....we were on the balcony..lol.

My $.02... play it straight. Odd thing is... if you've been around a while is that there are some similarities. The Hobby isn't all that much different from Civi life, just know the barriers. So the OP asks about the "grey area". ALL depends on feel. With TMI..don't give her the Express train if she looking for the Local. Ease into that over time based on trust. Use you're best judgement. Many women appreciate a man with a more "worldly" view. A guy that has seen that, done that & doesn't run home to Momma to ask her take on things.

People are people. Find someone the "Gets You" not the first chick that will date you. In my book... Random Questions are good..... Random Admission are much better..... KNOW who is on the other end.. Hone in on or get better at Social Acuity.

In my situation... I have a GF of 5 years. She knows I have seen 30-40 escorts. She doesn't beat me up on it and I encouraged her to "go there". If that's what she's feeling...and she has. I tell her to pursue it (w/ or without out me being there) It takes a LOT of communication to get there.... But there is NOTHING that we don't talk about. ALL a matter of how you handle it.

With a second lease on life... I don't play w/ that.

Judgement is a big deal in this society... generally, we keep it secret. I happen to be open about it and my opinion is that people that don't me know well enough.... are not qualified to judge me.... therefore their opinions have been weighed & measured.

And pissing. And moaning.

"Ignore User"  You've all seen the button, some of you just can't stand to NOT be involved in every conversation, including the ones that you claim are not pertinent.

I did not suggest I spoke for the board.  Read his post he asked for indivduals' thoughts.  I replied with my thought on the matter.

If you do not like my response you can ignore it, but I am provided this venue to state my opinions, whether they are in agreement with yours or not.

Telling someone to stop posting, then touting your right to post no matter what.
Reminding someone of their ability to ignore a post they don't like, while clearly exhibiting the inability to do so one's self.

Odd.

And no, you responded with your LACK of thoughts on the matter.
"Do anything else you want. "

You were not replying to his request for helpful insight into a delicate matter (the "Matter" in question), but instead putting your sad intolerance on display in order to see your own name displayed on screen.

I think the real problem is that you seem to disagree with yourself. As long as it serves yourself, that is.

And yah, I do feel better. Thanks for asking.
