Ok, I'm not exactly new to the hobby, but most of you have been in the community much longer than I have.  I would like to know your thoughts on something I've noticed here on the Boston board.

While it is against TER guidelines to post about specific delisted agencies or providers, I will speak without naming names.

I noticed that in the last 2 months several providers and agencies that have posted in the last 6 months (most of them fairly regularly, have disappeared).

Notably,

2 agency websites have disappeared.

2 prominent indy providers have been (or asked) to be delisted.

At least 3 local indy providers have either reduced the frequency of their ads, or have totally stopped, but have kept their profiles up. All 3 have been around for several years.

1 agency girl who was high on my list to see, with excellent reviews, and great breasts, is delisted now.

1 former agency girl, who was set to make a comeback as an indy, is now delisted.

I have been following this board for quite a while now, and I can't remember a trend like this in any previous 2 month period.

Oh, another interesting point of fact, is that every agency or provider I reference above, has either good, or EXCELLENT reviews.

So, please tell me if this trend is out of the ordinary or not?  If it is, can you explain what is going on and why?

thanks

Some people move away, others retire, some get busted, some just like to keep a low profile, others just don't have the time. Others could be de listed for breaking TER guidelines. I am sure the list goes on and on why people don't post.  Personally I know I go through cycles where I don't even read TER.  TER will remain with or without those providers, hobbyist and agencies once they stop posting.  New people with different handles.  In the past I have said I wonder what has become of this person.  If an agency or indy has good reviews they don't need to post on a weekly basis.  They build up a client base that will call or email them without posting.  I know for myself that even with the wrong email listed on TER I get emails still from people I know.

TER seems to have less patience with people who question reviews and similar things.

Hey, it's their sandbox and they are welcomed to do as they please.

We are consumers and also welcomed to do as we please.

In the last 4 years, one women left an agency to be my exclusive sugar till she finished grad school....mmmm great !    another was tired of "the life" and asked to be my sugar, and we have an exclusive, great, safe, discrete relationship.....so this happens too as well as disgruntlements, LE, etc.

Although the board is slower, I don't think much of it is due to de-listing.

VIPfantasygirls (one of my favorites) is gone, but not because they were de-listed.

BellaDonna (another favorite) goes without posting here for days, weeks, months sometimes.

I'm not sure who you are talking about being delisted.  TER is still the best hobby forum.  Anyone who chooses de-listing (for privacy or other reasons) is soon forgotten.

I was just trying to think about who is "missing".

As you said, many reasons for not posting.

This might answer your question about a well know agency, that had been in business for many yrs. visiting girls from all over the country.

I find it a bit odd that someone with no reviews can write such a detailed thread and have so much knowledge of this website.  Who are you really and why do you need to hide behind an alias?

I'm not criticizing TER.  This is the best site I've found.

I am worried about the local community.

I have reviews.  In fact, if you take the number of reviews I have as an average per number of months I've been a member, that figure is higher than most who post here.

I also support this site financially, not from review VIP credits, but by actually paying for membership.  So, I am sold on the quality of the site.  It's the local community I am concerned about.

I am using an alias cause I wanted to avoid the barrage of PM's I would get for posting this post.

You are quick to criticize.  Why don't you actually contribute to the thread's topic of discussion and make yourself useful?

Considering the vagueness of your post (necessary I know)it's hard to answer your question.  What is typical? Well, nothing is really typical.  I do know that a lot of folks, agency and indie both, have told me that they are keeping a lower internet profile in general in light of all of the attention that has been brought to the hobby over the last few years.  It's important to remember that the worlds oldest profession survived for centuries without the help of the world wide web.  Some folks I think are starting to realize that things like full disclosure reviews and all-access internet presence may not be what works best for them.

Honestly, I have noticed a scary trend among some of the folks who DO participate here and that is the tendency to forget that we are involved in an illegal activity that requires discretion on the part of all so that both the ladies and we customers can remain safe.

Great points.  When one is not being negative, disrespectful towards providers, shilling or accusing others of shilling, it would be nice to make a positive comment that brings smiles to everyone.

I support TER as well, and would like some of the Know It Alls to put their money where there mouth is.  Writing reviews for VIP membership is not fully supporting the board. (And the validity of some of those reviews at times is questionable).

It takes a Village, not village idiots.

Sorry, it had to be said from one person to another who pays for VIP Membership.  Kudos to you.

Providers with 3+ reviews get partial VIP for free.  Sorry I don't know exactly what that includes.

...Ability to access PMs and read our own reviews with partial VIP may be convenient to providers who don't actively use TER but for those of us who use the WhiteList system/search and/or read potential clients reviews to design a session which caters to the interest of the client its practical for us to pay for full VIP.

I, like Ms. Johnson and other providers pay for VIP; I stopped only once in protest.

I have to disagree with Mr.Fisher above.  I find that the current administration is less prone to frivolity and banning providers on whims for petty disagreements (I was banned once before for making an accusation/statement which wasn't in line with the vendetta of the previous administrator).

I find that the current administration seems to be especially vigilant about enforcing the rules of privacy which are obviously designed with liability in mind by honoring requests for de-listment.  I also see that they are vigilant about removing providers who commit impropriety i.e. review fraud.

I've seen two providers who were previously banned re-banned, I've seen two agencies go- one on its own accord, another traveling service due to its bust/human trafficking charges in Maryland (public record), I've noticed a few providers retire and I've seen a couple go under-the-radar.

This business has a high turnover, its not unusual that several services/providers have ceased or have altered their visibility/practice.
