Hi Boston, Since you guys are my "main" board, here is a question. How does a model increase her rates without losing too much business? With great feedback and with a positive reputation, would this deter your decision to see a girl? At the end of the day you get what you pay for (well in most cases)...thoughts?

more reviews, that are perceived as better, creates more demand, creates a higher price - basic economics of the hobby.

one other tactic is to REDUCE your multi-hour rate, which might actually result in more $/day. Just doubling your hourly rate for 2 hours doesn't drive "traffic".

You know, it's still governed by the law of supply and demand.  Your rates are higher than most already in the Boston area.  You will limit your potential market with higher rates. Increasing them will cause some who might want to see you to go elsewhere.  In the end, you may make the same amount of money with fewer clients. However, I doubt you will make more money with this strategy.

it seems your prices are too high already

i totally agree with going4broke about reducing multi-hour rates. i always looked at two-hours merely being double one-hour as a provider's method of discouraging multi-hours. i'm sure there's some economic principle behind that, but it's eluding me now.

i also see a professional web site and professional photographs as a good indicator of value because it shows a smart, savvy, professional behind it all, which are the ones i'd only wish to consort with.

Especially in this economy/area.
But, you're free to charge whatever you wish, just may decrease your demand/traffic.
It already has caused a baulk with me.

Actually, I disagree. i've not seen Jordan but her rates are definately about the same as others in teh notheast area.  If she's as good as her reviews, then the rates are reasonable.

a 'northeast' rate is much too broad a stroke IMO.
Boston rates are not as high as NJ/NYC/Stamford, CT rates.
And Prov, RI rates are well below all listed.
There will always be some ladies who buck the avg area rate.
But again, this is their business decision to make.
OP asked for input calling Boston her (somewhat) home board.
Her current rate (and a possible subsequent increase) puts her above the Boston avg.

Provider rates affect demand at least in terms of new clients, IMHO. Here's why: regardless of the ratings of a lady, a fellow always wonders, "Yeah, but after all, an hour is an hour is an hour - there's only so much ecstasy anyone can offer in an hour - and even if most guys are thrilled with their time with this lady, will she be my cup of tea?"  You raise your rate enough, some new potential repeat clients will look for another visiting lady who's also got good reviews and give her a call instead. I think asking more than the area average might not bother all of your regulars, but some of them are sure to start consider other ladies. "Brand loyalty" exists, but so does the "variety is the spice" effect.

Hi guys,
I'm so happy to read all the scoop on your thoughts. As an upscale provider and more reviews to hit I feel like I have worked hard to prove myself quickly in meetings and on the board. For those of you who have met me, know what I'm talking about... :) The multi-hour session will be lowered the next time I'm in town, I didn't think that many would have time in their day to see a model for two hours.... if the rate was right. With that being said, I thank you guys for all the blogging, advice, constructive criticism, etc. from the past month in helping me build character on this board! XOXO! JLee

This is the most well written and onpoint piece of advice I have ever read on this board.

I knew nothing about Jordan's time in the business and you touched on that as well.

I concur completely with your thoughts and offer this to Jordan. There ARE lots of high, medium and lower priced providers and agencies offering oustanding "services". Your price will dictate who calls YOU.

Having never visited with Camille, I would see her in an instant of my financial situation was different. She has "history".

If you are a newbie, sort of, develop history like she says and "learn" what you want out your life.
