From the link posted explaining how to become unmoderated.....   ... the method to communicate the request is a PM.  One person in the thread, way down pointed out what I spotted right away....   .....in order to send a PM to whoever, you must first have VIP status.

So I would like to hear from the TER staff a clarification.  Do you all mean to say that all folks who are not VIP status will continue to be moderated?  Won't that make all of the threads suspect in terms of how and if the content is being screened, censored and inhibited?

This really sounds like a bad idea and bad policy for what is supposed to be an "Open" information Board.  It is looking more and more like a VIP only board.

to the info that is disclosed here. Iva alwys thought they should only allow paying (and screened) members.
That's just my opinion though =)
I would rather pay a higher membership knowing that all members are paying members tht IN FACT participate in the hobby

sending the PM to the moderator, I think that it would go through. I could be wrong, but I think moderators get all of their PM's, not just the ones from VIP's. Then, your request is sent on up the food chain, and TER staff will either approve or deny your request, depending on your posting history.

Basically, if you are an asshole, you will be a moderated asshole, and if you're not, there won't be a problem.

moderated and redhead do not go together.

Maybe there is such a board out there. For those of us not ready to commit to the hobby on such a scale, I'm grateful TER exists.

Have you sent a PM to Fuzzy asking him to help?

There is a thread on the Suggestion & Policy board that non-VIP's can post on requesting to be un-moderated.
