How Far is Metro West

I usually always stay downtown when i come to Boston but i have been getting emails saying i should stay in Metro west? Where is that? Is it far from the airport

any insights on other good locations to stay would be appreciated

Basically head west from Boston until you hit 495. Anything in that general area. Framingham, for example, and anything within 4 towns of it

More convenient than Boston for those not already in Boston. No parking issues, Pike traffic, etc.

Aren't you in Metro West by the time you're near Rt. 128 (a.k.a. I-95)?
