I have stayed there and HATED it. The rooms are small and you can hear everything going on in the room next door. Back Bay Hilton is not a bad hotel. Quite a few traveling providers stay there.

Maybe I'll see ya soon!

Yes, it's a decent hotel and right around the corner from the downtown shopping area in case you're looking to pass some time.

Would be my preference!  I think the Parker House is a little worn.  It's also easier to get to the Hilton and park.  Clients like that!  :-)

Have fun, MG

I agree with MG.........The Parker House is old and some rooms are VERY small.....The Back Bay Hilton is new and it close to lots of upscale shopping and restaurants........easy for visitor to get in and out of......(parking garage as well)

I don't understand what you mean.  Like any other decent hotel in Boston, it has a lobby and it has elevators that don't require passkeys.  The only one I'm aware of so far that require passkeys for elevators is the Radisson and that is after 11pm.

> if pricing was same, which is best?

You weren't asking in regards to price.  If pricing were the same, go with the Hilton.  But I doubt they're the same unless you have some deal going.

I don't understand the comment "get guys up to the rooms".  Guy calls shortly before session.  You give him room #.  He comes up.  I guess you have to describe your procedure... do you come down to meet the guy first?

i wanted to stay at le meridian but a gent told me that in the evenings, security is steep and i'd have to keep coming down to the lobby to escort guests up to the room.

I agree with most of the posters that the hilton back bay is a great and comfortable selection;  I might also recomend the park plaza which does offer some nice double rooms, thier singles can be a little cramped.  As far as le meridian the advice you were given is correct, security is steep and more than that parking, traffic and just finding the damned place is a nightmare.  It is deep in the heart of Boston's finiacial district which might provide for some easy access afternoon appointments but for anyone travelling to the city or having to actually drive to it suicide is more appealing.  If, however you do choose to make that your temopary home while in boston you could always choose to meet clients in the Julien bar.

I stayed at the Omni Parker House last year and had no problems, infact my clients were more than pleased with the hotel and rooms, it's a very nice hotel and is in a great location. However, parking is a huge problem there.
