Be aware the hotel in question continues to hassle both ladies and their gentlemen visitors. Recently a gentleman was followed from the lobby by a hotel employee and verbally confronted as he approached the room of the lady. The gentleman immediately left the premises. The lady was subsequently told to leave the hotel.  

I am not allowed by TER rules to name the establishment in question. Suffice it to say it is a budget hotel that caters to stays of an extended nature off exit 27 on Rte 128.

I know the place, and have seen providers there.
How would they know why he was there, and to follow him?
Was he a rookie, I wonder, that doesn't know the "act like you been there" walk directly to the elevators?

Regarding what hotel? So I may stay clear from it..

Not a neophyte...actually very experienced and acts nonchalant. Place has a very small lobby and at the time [mid-day] no one else was coming and going. The room was on the first floor and that's a negative location. Perhaps too much previous traffic to the room or just heightened awareness at this establishment. Don't know. In retrospect would have been advisable to take the elevator to another floor and walk down. Consider yourself warned... like with the brown acid at Woodstock.

Those types of hotels are specifically designed so that front desk/reception staff can easily monitor. I realized this over the summer when I went hiking with a buddy. We stayed at a similar type of place (newish building) in another state. The front desk, you could tell, were monitoring comings and goings. Then, I noticed the interior layout, which is designed to help the front desk monitor (subtlety, without seeming like a security desk).

I personally avoid meeting at those types of hotels. The best hotels are ones with a restaurant and bar a banquet facility, etc - typical business class hotels. People go in and out all the time. Plus, I can show up early and grab a coffee (of glass of wine, depending on the hour), which is relaxing plus removes all suspicion if any existed. The only bad experience I had was arriving early for a drink, and the place was mobbed with people for some kind of school event. That sucked ass.

Anyway, those types of hotels are an 'avoid' (not always, but usually) in my book

No I'm not inexperienced.. and no it wasn't traffic.. I was the only visitor that day at that time..

The place does have a desk that you must walk by.. so obviously they have been on a campaign..
I saw girls there in the past.. no more..
I had a date with a new girl.. she told me where and I told her No I wouldn't go there an she shouldn't either..  
The hotels on either side are fine.. they are bigger..

it's not even a good hotel to stop and pee at after a large ice coffee and traffic jam.

Definitely will stay far far away from that kind of place!!!

I once went to the wrong hotel and got no answer knocking at the room number door (whew!). I called to ask what's up and found out that I was at the wrong branch of that chain. 10 minutes later, I was at the right place (whew!).  

Other times in the real world, I've told the GPS to take me someplace ("Store X") and, not being careful, it took me to the wrong place (Store X 3.2 miles that way versus Store X 4.4 miles the other way, where I really wanted to go).  

Depending on where I'm headed in the hobby world, I am more careful to get it right the first time but I also check out the likely mistakes. In the case of exit 27, you could easily just be off by a few exits to be at the right or wrong hotel. "[To hotel employee] Is this the HoliOtt Inn at 32??!! My bad! I was supposed to be at HoliOtt at exit 32!? So sorry about the mistake. [Dial weather or voice mail and say out loud for all to hear while hustling to the exit,] Yeah, Fishbro, sorry I'm running late, I GPSed to the wrong HoliOtt. I'll be at your place in 10 minutes."

Like I said, I've never actually used that ploy. Feedback, warnings, or conflicting advice is welcome.

If you Google Map search Route 95 Exit 27 (which is in Waltham), you should be able to discern the hotel from the description above... I'm guessing this hotel has heightened awareness to this type of "activity" and the person who was wandering probably didnt look like he belonged there.   I think word spreads pretty quickly and providers won't book or be booked there.  Most of the ladies know not to hang out in the hotel bar or common areas too much or dress in a way to give away anything.

part of the trouble with some is they tend to frequent the same hotel way too often.
live locally and that makes the staff suspicious  
girls who taking smoke breaks standing just outside the front enterance  in my opinion thats a no no!
when you check in try to look professional or dress down like a traveler or tourist
I can spot a hooker when they show up to check in and so can the hotel staff.
that along with frequently visiting the same hotels when you live locally....

I have been doing this for 11yrs  never had any trouble.
I have never been asked to leave a hotel
I have never been approached by hotel staff
Nor have any of my clients

Discretion is key
If you are having trouble ask yourself

1. Is this hotel safe
2. Do I blend in or stand out.

know where the elevator is so you dont look lost
dont bring flowers  
remain calm
my choice...I ask my friends NOT to knock on the door
Im right behind it all you have to do is push it open and walk in nice and quiet
I say *Dont knock the door is open,  Just walk in as if you live here*

they are paying attention to you for a reason

Nicole, wouldn't that draw some attention as well to anyone who might be in the hallway? Just walk into a room without using the key card or code?

hotels all use key cards its a slight of hand takes 2 seconds the door is open but not ajar  
Completely draws everyones attention when you pop the door ajar by flipping the lock to hold it open its a hooker move for sure.
stand behind the door and open it as your guest pushes on it....to anyone in the hallway looks like you used a card key to enter.
beats the shit out of standing in the hallway and knocking on the door.
which by the way...draws Everyones attention absolutely.
