there have been no references to no-show gals; paypal being a new way to take the money and run...perhaps this does not happen to members of TER

Dear Hobbyists,
I am seeking to use Paypal for the first time with a visiting gal.  It certainly appears to be a very useful system, but I was wondering about the range of experience; good, bad, or ugly.   I am thankful for your comments.

I use paypal for alot of computer equipment buying/selling and have nothing but good to say.  But, there are others that have other experiences.  Never used it with a provider before.

Be careful, Paypal has decided to exclude any and all adult transactions from its acceptable transactions. Therefore, if you have any problems you may lose your money and the party that is supposed to recieve it may also lose if Paypal finds out it is an adult transaction.

This goes into effect June 12.

while my appointment is set before the June 12th deadline, I suppose that if I have any trouble at all for any reason, there is nothing I can do.  I was expecting someone to mention something good.

There is a well known provider, Grayeyed Nicole, that posts on this website that uses PayPal. Maybe you should ask her of her experiences using PayPal.

I've never used paypal, but I have considered it and I have asked about it on this board before, as well as some providers.  Here is the suggestion I received.  Make sure to state that the payment is for "product information" or "mechandise" or just "service" or something ambiguous and discrete like that.  Do not state "adult merchandise" or "adult service" etc.....which may cause problems.

I still haven't tried paypal for providers though.

I am _strongly against_ any type of deposit. Anyone that demands a deposit, I will not see.

And as far as Paypal goes, I have a merchant account with them, they are a very good system if you abide by the rules. I see posts on how to bypass these new rules and I have had some emails and PM's with people that use Paypal for their adult business. If I were given notice that Paypal were to stop processing payments for my type of busines I would find someone else that would do it immediately.

If Paypal finds someone ignoring these rules,  they will possibly loose their money. I for one am not willing to take that gamble.

There are other options for any adult business to process payments that won't be as risky for the parties involved.
